A battery characteristic determining device includes a control module and a processing module. The control module outputs a control signal when a battery module is in a charging state and an SOC (state of charge) of the battery module reaches a predetermined target value, so as to result in change of a current of the battery module to a predetermined test value for a predetermined test time period. The predetermined test value is such that the change of the current causes a voltage of the battery module to decrease in the predetermined test time period. The processing module obtains a voltage variation of the battery module in the predetermined test time period, and a C rate of the battery module with reference to the voltage variation.

Battery characteristic determining device for a vehicle

A method and a system for estimating the State of Health (SOH) of a battery set are disclosed. The method utilizes a discrete quantization algorithm to estimate the SOH of the battery set, wherein the voltage standard deviations are calculated according to the loop voltages of the battery cells, and comparing the rated discharge capacity with the voltage standard deviations for estimating the SOH of the battery set.

An energy management device includes an energy transfer unit, and a control unit that generates a control signal based at least on a residual electric quantity of each of high power and high energy storage devices of a vehicle, whether the energy transfer unit is coupled to an external energy source, and a position of the vehicle. A method of estimating remaining battery power in electric vehicles is provided. The method uses coulometric detection method to obtain remaining battery power and uses an open voltage method to modify the coulometric detection method when modified conditions are met as well as different battery characteristics and conditions when in use. The remaining battery power in electric vehicles can conduct a dispersion degree detection at every stage and when a detection value is larger than a preset value, a self-adjusting mechanism will be activated to modify the battery power. When the battery is charged for a longer period of time, a regression method is used to establish a modified equation to increase precision of estimating remaining battery power.

A self-learning regenerative braking control module is adapted for use with a vehicle, and includes a driving mode determining unit, an analyzing unit, and a regenerative braking determining unit. The driving mode determining unit determines a driving mode according to an accelerator signal, a brake signal, and a speed signal from the vehicle and outputs a coasting duration and coasting information associated with the driving mode to the analyzing unit for obtaining acceleration information. The regenerative braking determining unit obtains target regenerative braking data containing target vehicle speeds that vary with time based upon the acceleration information and regenerative braking reference data stored therein.
