A test load circuit includes a test load, a current sensor, and comparator. The test load is connected to a voltage source of a power supply. The current sensor is configured to detect the amount of current flowing through the test load. The comparator has a first input connected to a feedback signal having a voltage associated with the test load current, a second input connected to a command signal having has a voltage associated with a target current through the test load, and an output connected to the test load. The output of the comparator has a voltage that is based on the current difference between the target current and the test load current. The test load has a variable resistance that is controllable by the output of the comparator to adjust the test load current and cause the test load current to match the target current.

A system includes one or more data processors and a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium containing instructions which, when executed on the one or more data processors, cause the one or more data processors to perform operations. The operations include receiving a design schematic, extracting keywords from the design schematic, and sorting the design schematic by the extracted keywords. The operations further include extracting a part number of a component from the sorted design schematic, comparing the component associated with the part number with a reference component associated with the part number, and displaying a result of the comparison indicating whether the component and the reference component match.

A power supply circuit includes a power converter, an input voltage source, and a clamping circuit. The power converter has an input pin, an output pin, and an enable pin. The input voltage source is electrically connected to the input pin, and provides an input voltage to the input pin. The clamping circuit is electrically connected to the enable pin of the power converter. When the input voltage increases to at least a threshold input voltage, the clamping circuit is configured to activate the power converter to provide an output voltage at the output pin. When the input voltage decreases below the threshold input voltage, the clamping circuit is configured to deactivate the power converter and prevent the power converter from being re-activated within a predefined time period.

A power source switching circuit for powering an electronic component includes a soft-start circuit, a first input connected to a standby power source, a second input connected to a main power source, and an output. The output provides a voltage to the electronic component and is configured to be alternatively electrically connected to the first input or the second input. When the power source switching circuit is in a standby mode, the output is connected to the first input and the standby power source. When the power source switching circuit is in a main mode, the output is connected to the second input and the main power source. When the power source switching circuit is initially activated to the standby mode, the soft-start circuit is enabled. When the power source switching circuit subsequently switched from the main mode to the standby mode, the soft-start circuit is disabled.

A system and method for providing additional power to a connected load is disclosed. The system includes a power supply unit and an energy storage unit coupled to the power supply unit. A switch has an input coupled to the power supply unit. A power output provides power to the connected load. The power output is coupled to an output of the switch and the energy storage unit. A controller is operative to provide a charging period where the switch is turned on to provide power to the power output. The controller provides a boost period where the switch is controlled via a pulse width modulation signal to connect the power supply with the energy storage unit to supply power to the load when the switch is on, and with the energy storage unit to supply power to the load when the switch is off.

System and method for efficient energy distribution for surge power

Various embodiments of the present technology provide methods for boosting a voltage differential of an energy storage by using a boost component, determining a server system being switched to a boost mode, and discharging the energy storage to provide additional power supplies to the server system during the boost mode. In some embodiments, processing demands of a server system can be monitored. In response to determining that a boost mode is needed to support processing demands of the server system or detecting a component being a bottleneck in processing pipelines of the server system, a boost activation signal can be generated. The boost activation signal can cause a CPU, the bottleneck component, or another component of the server system to operate under a higher clock speed such that a higher processing capacity can be achieved.

Method and system for boosting power supply

The present disclosure provides a system and method enabling a self-burn-in test for a power supply device (PSD) of a server system using a multi-phase scheme. The PSD comprises a power-width modulation (PWM) controller, and a plurality of power stages. Each of the plurality of power stages comprises a driver, a high-side MOSFET, and a low-side MOSFET. In one aspect of the present disclosure, upon receiving a test mode command from a controller of the server system, the PWM controller can send a PWM signal to switch a specific power stage to the On state, and send at least another PWM signal that switches other power stage(s) of the plurality of power stages to the Tri-state. During a subsequent self-burn-in test of the specific power stage, low-side MOSFET(s) of the other power stage(s) can function as a load for the specific power stage.
