Systems and methods for determining an indication of locationing accuracy are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an antenna deployment including multiple antennas and corresponding locations for the antennas is obtained. Then, one or more radio characteristics are determined for ubiety locations based on the antenna deployment and an indication of locationing accuracy for the ubiety locations is determined based on the one or more radio characteristics. In this way, an antenna deployment can be evaluated for locationing accuracy. This may be used by a network engineer or an automated system to determine and/or refine an antenna deployment.

The method comprises: deciding inter-frequency measurement information for positioning a user equipment, UE, wherein the inter-frequency measurement information comprises at least one frequency other than a frequency of a serving cell of the UE; sending a first measurement request containing the inter-frequency measurement information to an access node of the serving cell; receiving a first measurement result from the access node; and determining a position of the UE based on the measurement result.

According to certain embodiments, a method by a radio node operating as a location server is provided. The method includes receiving, from a first wireless device, user input identifying a marked location and associating the marked location with a Cellular-Ubiety Identifier (ID). Method and server are disclosed for positioning user equipment (UE). According to an embodiment, positioning-related information is collected for each of a plurality of UEs from at least one network node for at least a first duration of time. For each UE, matching positioning-related information is determined that is matched with the UE's registration address related information, wherein the plurality of UEs' registration addresses are obtained from a network provider. A reference database is created which contains, for each UE, a reference point comprising the UE's identification (ID), registration address related information and matching positioning-related information. In response to a positioning request, a UE's current positioning-related information is acquired from a network node. The UE is positioned based on its current positioning-related information and the reference database.

Method and server for positioning user equipment

Methods and devices for performing hybrid fingerprinting/observed time difference of arrival (OTDOA) positioning are described. Fingerprinting information can be used to improve OTDOA results by using the fingerprinting information to generate OTDOA assistance information. The OTDOA assistance information is sent to a user equipment, which uses the OTDOA assistance information to perform reference signal time differences (RSTDs) measurements.
