An open end spinning machine includes a row of spinning rotors each connected to spindles rotatably supported in their predetermined axial position by associated twin-disk mechanisms and driven by a belt moving across the spindles. When the spindle is subjected to an external axial force in either of opposite axial directions due to disturbance of a right-angled relationship between the belt and the spindle, an arrangement according to the invention causes the spindle to be subjected to a force, the direction of which is directly opposite to and the strength of which is in proportion to that external axial force due to the disturbance of the right-angled relationship, whereby the spindle is maintained in the predetermined axial position.

Arrangement for preventing axial displacement of spinning rotor spindle

Disclosed is an open-end spinning apparatus provided with a fiber-bundle supply mechanism disposed to a casing and a combing roller disposed in the casing, so as to separate the supplied bundle of fibers into individual fibers, and a spinning rotor for forming a yarn from said individual fibers; a fiber carrying passage is formed in the casing at a position between the fiber-bundle supply mechanism and the spinning rotor, the fiber carrying passage being provided with a combing section where an action of the combing roller is imparted to the bundle of fibers delivered from the fiber-bundle supply mechanism so that the fibers of the fiber-bundle are separated from each other from; a pneumatic or mechanical means is provided for positively introducing the above-mentioned individual fibers to a part of the cylindrical surface of the combing roller; so that, consequently, all fibers contained in the bundle of fibers fed from the fiber-bundle supply mechanism receive effective combing action of the combing roller in the combing section of the fiber carrying passage.

Fiber separating device of an open-end spinning apparatus

In an open-end spinning apparatus provided with a fiber feed mechanism, a combing roller for separating a bundle of fibers supplied from the feed mechanism into individual fibers, a spinning rotor for receiving individual fibers delivered from the combing roller and for forming a ring shaped bundle of fibers on a fiber collecting zone formed at an inside wall position having a maximum lateral diameter with respect to a rotational axis thereof, and a yarn guide means for introducing a yarn formed in the spinning rotor toward a takeup mechanism disposed at a position outside the spinning rotor, a plurality of air streams are directly blown toward the fiber collecting zone by means of air stream creating means so that the ring shaped bundle of fibers deposited on the fiber collecting surface is urged toward the inside wall of the rotor at this collecting zone by the action of the air stream together with the centrifugal force of the fibers which is created by the rotation of the spinning rotor.

Method and apparatus for controlling the operation of the open-end spinning frame which comprises measuring the number of rotations of the take-up roller means or a winding roller, controlling the relative timing of the reverse rotation of the take-up roller means and a winding roller of each spinning unit in association with the time of starting the normal driving of the fiber supply roller of each spinning unit and the time of starting the normal driving of the take-up roller and the winding roller based on the measured number of said rotations, and controlling the relative timing of the time of stopping the driving of the take-up roller and the winding roller in associated with the time of stopping the fiber supply roller based on the measured number of rotations.
