A toner conveying device includes a conveying screw and a swinging member. The conveying screw includes a shaft portion and a screw portion spirally wound around the shaft portion. The swinging member has a substantially comb shape and swings between the shaft portion and the screw portion with rotation of the conveying screw, and includes a plurality of overhanging portions arranged side by side at intervals in an axial direction of the conveying screw and a plurality of tip portions, each one of which is bent at a predetermined angle from a free end side of a corresponding one of the plurality of overhanging portions in a direction away from the shaft portion. A width of each one of the plurality of tip portions gradually increases at least from a portion to contact the screw portion toward a free end side of each one of the plurality of tip portions.

A powder container includes a toner storage disposed at an upper portion of the powder container and a powder collection portion disposed at a lower portion of the powder container. An image forming apparatus including an image forming device to form an ink image on a recording sheet, a discharger to discharge the sheet bearing the ink image in a face-down manner, and a stacker to stack the discharged sheet thereon. The stacker includes a first surface to deform a rear end portion of the sheet, and a second surface which has a surface to press a front end portion of the sheet and is slanting so as to rise in the sheet discharging direction. The first and second surfaces are arranged such that the first surface or an extended surface thereof intersects at an angle with the second surface or an extended surface thereof to form an intersection line and such that when the front edge of the recording sheet reaches the second surface, the rear edge of the recording sheet has not yet been discharged by the discharger.

An image forming apparatus includes a body, a conveyance belt, an image forming device, a refeeding unit, a reverse passage, a charging unit, an openable cover, and a unit-interlocked moving device. The charging unit forms part of the reverse passage and includes a charger between an inner side of the reverse passage and one of rotation members. The cover is pivotable between a closed position to cover an internal area including at least the charger and the reverse passage and an open position to open the internal area to an outside of the body. With a pivoting movement of the cover from the closed position to the open position, the moving device moves the charging unit toward an outside of the reverse passage to a removable position at which the charging unit is removable from the body with the cover placed at the open position.

Image forming apparatus capable of forming images on both sides of recording media

An image forming apparatus includes a recording head, a conveyance belt, a charger, a reverse passage, and an auxiliary conveyance roller. The belt is looped around at least two rollers to adhere a recording medium thereto by electrostatic force and convey the medium. The belt defines a normal conveyance area in which the medium is conveyed in a first direction. The reverse passage delivers the medium turned around in an area downstream from the belt in the first direction and sends the medium back again to a portion of the belt upstream from the head in the first direction. The reverse passage includes an opposite conveyance area of the belt in which the medium is conveyed in a second direction opposite the first direction. The auxiliary conveyance roller is disposed at least one of an entry part and an exit part of the opposite conveyance area.

An image forming apparatus is disclosed, including a carriage which moves and scans, the carriage being provided with a recording head which ejects liquid droplets; and a sheet-shaped receiving face member which forms a receiving face which receives non-contributing liquid droplets which do not contribute to image forming, the non-contributing liquid droplets being ejected from the recording head. The receiving face member is movably arranged, and the image forming apparatus further includes a drive unit which moves the receiving face member in conjunction with movement of the carriage.
