A voice recognition terminal executes a local voice recognition process and utilizes an external center voice recognition process. The terminal includes: a voice message synthesizing element for synthesizing at least one of a voice message to be output from a speaker according to the external center voice recognition process and a voice message to be output from the speaker according to the local voice recognition process so as to distinguish between characteristics of the voice message to be output from the speaker according to the external center voice recognition process and characteristics of the voice message to be output from the speaker according to the local voice recognition process; and a voice output element for outputting a synthesized voice message from the speaker.

Voice recognition terminal

A voice control system receives a voice command from a user via a microphone. A command executability determination circuit determined whether the voice command is executable in the current function setting of a target device controlled by the voice control system. If the command is executable, the command is executed. If the command is inexecutable, a proper usage of the voice command and executable commands related to the voice command are provided to the user. Then, the user is prompted to use one of the executable commands. In other words, the user is notified of the reason why the voice command is not executed and a proper usage of the voice command.

Voice control system

A voice recognition unit recognizes a recognition word code corresponding to a speech uttered by a user along with a command code for executing a function of a control object. A function execution unit executes a function corresponding to the command code from the voice recognition unit. A message outputting unit extracts a recognition word corresponding to the recognition word code from a recognition word storing unit, and generates a message properly utilizing the extracted recognition word. The generated message is notified to the user via a display or a speaker, so that the user can confirm that the uttered speech is adequately recognized.
