An estrogen-containing gel preparation is disclosed, which comprises a substrate having on one surface thereof a crosslinked gel layer formed by crosslinking a composition comprising the following ingredients (a) to (c), the weight ratio of the ingredient (b) to the ingredient (c) being from 1.0/0.25 to 1.0/2.0:

They possess .beta.-adrenergic blocking activity and an activity of controlling secretion of gastric juice and are therefore useful antiulcerative medicines for peptic ulcer and duodenal ulcer.

These compounds exhibit superior analgesic and/or anti-inflammatory actions with little gastrointestinal troubles.
