Embodiments of the invention are directed towards a sliding liquid level sensor which is mounted in a fuel tank of a vehicle for detecting a remaining amount of a liquid fuel in the tank. The liquid level sensor has a float, a plurality of electrodes, and a sliding contact point configured to slide on the electrodes in accordance with a displacement of the float. The electrodes preferably contain 100 parts by weight of a silver-palladium alloy and preferably 3-20 parts by weight of glass. The silver-palladium alloy preferably contains 20-60% by weight of silver and preferably 80-40% by weight of palladium. The sliding contact point is made from a palladium-nickel alloy that preferably contains 70-90% by weight of palladium and preferably 30-10% by weight of nickel.

Sliding liquid level sensor

A fuel supply apparatus according to the present invention includes vapor production determining means for determining whether or not the vapor of the fuel is producible, and control means (ECU) for operating a passage resistance adjusting means of a pressure adjusting mechanism to cause increase of the pressure of the fuel supplied to an injector insomuch as the production of the vapor is inhibited when the vapor production determining means has determined a vapor producible condition.

Fuel supply apparatuses

Fuel supply device () may comprise fuel pump () and suction filter () attached to a fuel intake port () of fuel pump (). Suction filter () may have a sheet-shaped filter body () and an attaching member (). Filter body () has an internal filter structure (), and attaching member () attaches filter body () to fuel intake port () such that internal filter structure () communicates with fuel intake port (). Filter body () may be folded over to form a multi-layered structure comprising an upper filter layer () and a lower filter layer (). Folding over the sheet-shaped filter body () allows a filtration area of fuel supply device () to be increased while preventing an increase in the size of fuel supply device ().

Fuel supply device

An accelerator pedal device has a bracket having a pin, a pedal arm turnably supported by the bracket through the pin, a return spring arranged to surround the pin for biasing the pedal arm, and an accelerator-opening sensor mounted on the bracket. An engaging portion is disposed at the leading end of the pedal arm, a rotor of the accelerator-opening sensor and the engaging portion are associated through the crank mechanism. As a driver depresses the accelerator pedal, the pedal arm turns on the pin, by the action of the crank mechanism engaging with the engaging portion it the leading end of the pedal arm, the rotor of the accelerator-opening sensor is rotated, and a voltage signal according to the depression stroke is outputted from the accelerator-opening sensor.

Accelerator pedal device

A stepping motor having a cylindrical stator core which is a laminate of plates each formed by blanking of a thin silicon steel plate, stator coils wound on an inner peripheral surface of the stator core, a support member fixed to a part of an outer peripheral surface of the stator core and holding a plurality of terminal plates, and a housing formed by injection molding of a synthetic resin so as to cover the outer peripheral surface of the stator core and an outer surface of the support member. First end portions of the terminal plates are made projected through the housing to the exterior of the housing and are surrounded by a socket wall integral with the housing to form a male connector, while second end portions of the terminal plates are connected with end portions of electric wires which constitute the stator coils, and are embedded in the housing. The distance from an engaging surface of the support member which engages one end face of the stator core up to the first end portions of the terminal plates which constitute the male connector is made coincident with a predetermined value and in this state the support member is held in a predetermined position inside the socket wall.

Stepping motor having a molded housing

A method of connecting an end portion of a stator coil of a motor to a terminal, including the steps of locating an insulating plate on one end surface of a stator; positioning the terminal on one side of the insulating plate opposite to the other side where the insulating plate contacts the stator; positioning the end portion of the stator coil on one side of the terminal opposite to the other side where the terminal contacts the insulating plate; pressing the end portion of the stator coil against the terminal with a contact end portion of a source electrode and a first earth electrode which are in contact with each other; contacting a second earth electrode with the terminal from the opposite side of the insulating plate; and supplying a welding current to the source electrode under the conditions that the contact end portion of the source electrode and the first earth electrode are pressed against the terminal and the end portion of the stator coil and that the second earth electrode is in contact with the terminal. With this method, the deformation of the terminal in conducting welding can be prevented, and it is not necessary to define a space for inserting the welding electrodes in the inside of the stator.
