An image forming apparatus administration system is provided which includes an image forming apparatus, which is located in a first local network and connected to the Internet through a first firewall server, an administration computer, which is located in a second local network and connected to the Internet through a second firewall server, and a relaying server, which is located outside the first local network and the second local network and is connected to the Internet. The administration computer transmits information for administrating the image forming apparatus to the relaying server, and accesses the relaying server to obtain information corresponding to a state of the image forming apparatus. The image forming apparatus accesses the relaying server at a predetermined timing to obtain the information from the administrating computer, and transmits the information corresponding to the state of the image forming apparatus to the relaying server.

The image forming apparatus, for printing print data, and a printing control apparatus, for controlling a printing operation of the image forming apparatus, are connected through a network. In the printing control apparatus, there are provided an authentication means that authenticates a user of the image forming apparatus, a discriminating means that discriminates whether print data for which the printing is instructed by the authenticated user is for public business or for private business, a recording means that records information relating to printing of print data as private business information corresponding to the user when the print data are discriminated by the discriminating means to be for private business and a charging means that charges for private business printing of the user based on the private business information recorded on the recording means.

An image processing apparatus management method wherein an external management apparatus manages an image processing apparatus via an information communications terminal, having the steps of transmitting to the external management apparatus inputted first identification information inherent to the image processing apparatus and second identification information stored in the information communications terminal in advance; authenticating the transmitted second identification information based on second identification information previously stored in the management apparatus; acquiring operation information of the image processing apparatus previously stored being associated with the first identification information; transmitting to the information communications terminal the operation information of the image processing apparatus; accepting the input of the operation information of the image processing apparatus sent through the information communications terminal; and performing the specified operation corresponding to the operation information of the image processing apparatus.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image reading device for reading an image of a document to obtain image data; a data communication device connected with a computer for receiving an image data from the computer; a facsimile device connected with a telephone line for receiving an image data through the telephone line; an image memory for storing the image data obtained through the image reading device, the image data obtained through the data communication device, and the image data obtained through the facsimile device; an image memory controller for mediating an access to the image memory in a predetermined priority order for storing and reading the image data among the image reading device, the data communication device, and the facsimile device; and an image forming device for forming the image according to the image data controlled by the image memory controller.

Image forming apparatus

A facsimile apparatus for tele-copying an original image has reading means to read a multi-color original image so as to obtain plural sets of color image data and a set of integrated image data. Each set of the color image represents an image of a color in the muti-color image and the integrated image is a total image formed by all colors of the multi-color image. Memeory means of the apparatus separately stores each image data set. In transmitting the image data to a receiving station, a transmitter of the apparatus selects necessary data sets from the stored image data sets based on printing capability of the receiving station and transmits only the selected data sets.

Facsimile apparatus

A facsimile apparatus in a first station with an error correction mode retransmits signal again in response to a request from a section station. The facsimile apparatus includes a CPU to control a transmission speed of the signal transmission circuit so as to transmit operation control signals such as page information signals relating to a document and post message command signals indicating an operation that is to follow a present operation, at a first transmitting speed that corresponds to a transmission speed used to transmit image signals.

An image transmission apparatus includes an original reading unit, a memory, a communicating unit, an impressing unit, and a controller. The memory stores an image signal read by the original reading unit. The impressing means impresses a predetermined stamp on an original. The controller controls the impressing unit so that different stamps are impressed when the read image signal is directly transmitted by the communicating unit and when the read image signal is stored in the memory means.
