The present invention discloses a resin composition containing 26.about.70 weight % of thermoplastic polyester resin, 10.about.30 weight % of polyester elastomer, and 20.about.44 weight % of vinylidene chloride resin and a biaxially stretched heat shrinkable film having cold resistance and oxygen gas barrier property comprising said resin composition, and further a biaxially stretched heat shrinkable laminated film having not only oxygen gas barrier property and cold resistance, but also melt hole resistance, heat resistance sealing property, and transparency after the shrinkage and comprising barrier layer of said resin composition, outer layer (polyamide or crosslinkable polyolefin), inner layer (crosslinkable polyolefin), and heat sealable layer (low crosslinkable polyolefin), at least the outer layer, the inner layer and the heat sealing layer being crosslinked by electron beam irradiation.

Resin composition and heat shrinkable film comprising the same

A biaxially stretched heat-shrinkable laminated film is disclosed which possesses good heat-shrinkability, excellent melt hole resistance and heat-resistant sealing property (the heat resistance of a seal portion), and highly satisfactory cold resistance, retains transparency even after shrinkage, and serves advantageously as a wrap for packaging foodstuffs. The laminated film is provided as an oxygen barrier layer with a layer of a mixture of vinylidene chloride resin and a low melting point polyamide resin having a crystalline melting point of not higher than 210.degree. C. This mixed resin has been cross-linked by applying the electron beam to the laminate in a dosage in the range of 1 to 12 megarads. The laminated film exhibits a heat shrinkage percentage of not less than 15% at 90.degree. C. and excels in gas barrier property.

Heat-shrinkable laminate film

The present invention discloses a biaxially oriented heat-shrinkable laminated film comprising a laminate having a vinylidene chloride copolymer composition layer containing 0.5 to 9.1% by weight of a polyfunctional (metha)crylate, the vinylidene chloride copolymer being crosslinked by applying electron beams to the laminate at a dosage rate of 1 to 10 megarads, and exhibiting a heat shrinkage percentage at 90.degree. C. of 15% or more and excellent gas barrier properties. The laminated film of the present invention also exhibits excellent gas barrier properties, transparency, melt hole resistance and heat sealing resistance. The film having an outer layer composed a crosslinked polyolefin exhibits particularly excellent melt hole resistance and heat sealing resistance.

Heat-shrinkable laminated film

Disclosed herein are a heat-resistant and oil-resistant laminate film comprising gas-barrier resin layer(s), thermoplastic resin layer(s) different from a gas-barrier resin and adhesive layer(s) disposed between the gas-barrier resin layer and the thermoplastic resin layer, produced by co-extruding a gas-barrier resin, a thermoplastic resin and an adhesive composition and irradiating the co-extruded laminate, the total number of the layers of the laminate film being not less than 3, and the adhesive layer comprising a cross-linked polymer and the adhesive composition consisting essentially of 100 parts by weight of a melt-extrudable adhesive resin and 0.1 to 50 parts by weight of a radiation-sensitive compound, and a process for producing the heat-resistant and oil-resistant laminate film.
