Provided are a communication device and a communication system in which multi-hop communication is possible and management of communication routes is easy. In a distribution-system communication device, a port management meansis provided in a communication control unit, and each of ports provided in a port sectioncan be managed with the port management meansby IP addresses of adjacent stations connected to each of the ports. In a port management meansof a master station, correspondence information between port numbers of the port sectionof each of the slave stations and the IP addresses of adjacent stations of a connection destination is input from the port management meansof each of the slave stations, and connection states between the ports of each of the slave stations can be managed based on the correspondence information.

Communication device and communication system

A communication system that performs communication route control includes a center node and at least one node connected thereto via a communication line. The node includes an error-detecting unit that detects an error in the communication route, a route request packet transmitting unit that broadcasts a new route request packet in response to the detection, a route answer packet receiving unit that receives a route answer packet transmitted from a node that is a target node or a node having a valid route to the target node or from the center node, and a communication route updating unit that updates a communication route based on the route answer packet. A node that is the target node or the node having a valid route to the target node or the center node transmits a route answer packet to the node in response to a route request packet transmitted from the node.

An optical network unit according to the present invention is provided as comprising a configuration that component units built therein are grouped for at least two sheets of substrate modules and arranged thereat. Customer premises optical network unit and optical transmission system

A subscriber premises side optical network unit, and an optical transmission system having the same, is provided that monitors whether or not a communication condition is established with a center side optical line termination and halts signals to be outputted to external nodes when the communication condition is not established. In an optical network unit (ONU), a signal output control means monitors whether or not the communication condition with an OLT is established and when it determines that the communication condition is not established, outputs an output halting request to loopback setting sections to control to assume a loopback state. Thereby, it becomes possible to halt the output of the signals from an interface module to a switch.

Subscriber premises side optical network unit and optical transmission system

There is provided a customer premises optical network unit (ONU) capable of reading management signals and of outputting data through an external node by using IC serial interfaces. In the ONU, an ONU functioning section has another serial signal terminal and is connected with a first management processing section through a sub-serial transmission path. The first management processing section is also connected with a MSA interface module through an additional monitoring signal transmission path and a monitoring signal transmission path. The monitoring signal transmission path on the side of the MSA interface module is connected with a sub-I/F section. A part of management signals set in an OAM layer of a signal transmitted between an OLT and the ONU may be outputted to an external node by using the first management processing section, the additional monitoring signal transmission path and the monitoring signal transmission path.

An optical repeater device of the present invention comprises: a preamble compensating circuit, for taking out a normal data signal from burst signals propagating through a communication transmission path, and for adding a preamble signal before and/or after the data signal. Furthermore, the preamble compensating circuitcomprises: a detector circuit, for inputting the burst signal, and for outputting only the normal data signal; a buffer circuit, for storing the data signal output from the detector circuit, and for outputting thereof; a preamble signal generation circuit, for outputting at least one type of the preamble signal; and an data output select circuit, for outputting the data signal at the time of the data signal input from the buffer circuit, and for outputting the preamble signal from the preamble signal generation circuitat any other time thereof.

Apparatus for connecting multiplex transmission systems

A multipath transmission system according to the present invention comprises a plurality of multiplex nodes connected to two multiplex buses. Each of the multiplex nodes is assigned to a specific apparatus, and includes a communication control circuit (LSI) for fetching multiplex signals from the apparatus and transmitting the multiplex signals to the multiplex buses. One multiplex node, out of the plurality of multiplex nodes, includes communication control circuits driver/receiver circuits, and troubleshooting driver/receiver circuits, which are connected to the multiplex buses and used for signal transfer between the buses, and a microprocessor for troubleshooting the multiplex buses and the multiplex nodes. The multiplex node relays a failure signal, corresponding to the result of troubleshooting, to the other network which suffers no trouble.
