In the electroconductive endless belt, the base resin of the electroconductive endless belt comprises a polyalkylene terephthalate resin in combination with a naphthalene ring-containing thermoplastic resin and/or a naphthalene ring-containing thermoplastic elastomer having a melting point higher than that of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin, and the mass ratio of the polyalkylene terephthalate resin to the naphthalene ring-containing thermoplastic resin and/or the naphthalene ring-containing thermoplastic elastomer in the base resin is in the range of 90/10 to 50/50.

A conductive endless belt is composed of elastomer polyester with a crystalline melting point at 210&#xb0; C. or more, or mainly composed of the elastomer polyester, and a thermoplastic polyester-based resin at 49 wt % or less, added a polymer ion conductive agent and a carbon black. The conductive endless belt. satisfies elastic modulus, creep resistance, bending durability, etc. and has decreased volume resistance variation and environment dependency while having superior durability, glossiness and setting performance that satisfying desired performance, without causing problems such as offset image.

A cylindrical base for a photosensitive drum composed of a conductive resin composition containing a resin base material and a conductive material mainly containing carbon black, on which base a solvent-using photosensitive layer is directly formed, is characterized in that the resin base material mainly contains a mixed resin wherein (A) a polyester resin and (B) a polycarbonate resin is blended at a ratio (weight ratio) of (A)/(B)=50/50 to 90/10. The base for a photosensitive drum is excellent in chemical resistance, formability, dimensional accuracy, and adhesion to the photosensitive layer, while being excellent in dimensional stability. A photosensitive drum using such a base exhibits good printing performance and excellent durability.

An image display device, in which image display media are sealed between opposed substrates, at least one of two substrates being transparent, and in which the image display media, to which an electrostatic field is applied, are made to move so as to display an image. A construction of particles used as the image display media is improved (the first, second, fourth, fifth, sixth, eighth and ninth aspects of the invention), and a material of the particles used as the image display media is improved (the third, seventh and tenth aspects of the invention). Whiteness of the particles and a liquid powder using the particles is improved, particle agglutination is prevented, and the charge property is controlled. Moreover, durability is improved such that a contrast of the image display during a repetition display is not decreased. As a result, an excellent image display can be achieved.

There are disclosed a multi-color injection molding process for producing an ink-jet printer member comprising a plastics substrate and an elastic material layer that are integrally composited, which comprises melt-injecting into a mold in turn, a material for a plastics substrate and an elastic material composed of a thermoplastic elastomer; and an insert molding process for producing the ink-jet printer member mentioned above, which comprises placing in advance, a plastics substrate of a prescribed form in a mold, and melt-injecting an elastic material composed of a thermoplastic elastomer into said plastics substrate. The above processes are well suited for the production of the ink-jet printer member such as an ink tank valve for supplying a recording head with an ink to be filled in an ink chamber, also of a sealing member which is installed at an ink supply port or on the main body of an ink-jet printer and prevents an ink from leaking through the ink supply port or through the recording head.

There is disclosed a fluid supply valve comprising a disc-shaped valve body which is equipped with a fluid supply port in the central portion thereof and composed of an elastic material whose peripheral portion is reinforced and fixed with a rigid material, the fluid supply port being closed when the valve body abuts against a fixed valve seat placed so as to be opposite to the fluid supply port, and being opened when the valve body is separated from the fixed valve seat, wherein the disc shaped valve body is equipped further with a thin walled portion in the intermediate annular portion between the fluid supply port and the peripheral portion in the radial direction, and/or with an inflectional portion in the radial direction between the fluid supply port and the peripheral portion. According to the above constitution, it is made possible to minimize the reaction force at the time of the deformation of the valve body and thus to provide an ink tank valve capable of favorably supplying a recording head with a proper amount of ink.
