The dimensions of a magnetized pattern formed on a recording medium are varied, thereby causing the amount of toner attracted to the recording medium to vary, and thereby adjusting the printing density. This type of variation of the dimensions of the magnetized pattern is preferably achieved by varying the pulse width, that is, the duty cycle, of the recording clock which is supplied to a latent image recording circuit. This printing density adjustment method enables stable adjustment of the printing density.

Method of density adjustment for a magnetic printing apparatus

A borescope apparatus having a borescope and a pressurized fluid supply device. The borescope has an operation unit and an insertion unit. The insertion unit comprises a bending tube portion, a jet port member coupled to a proximal end of the bending tube portion, and a flexible tube portion. The bending tube portion can be bent by operating the operation unit. The jet port member has a jet port. A pressuring fluid is supplied from the fluid supply unit to the jet port member, and is ejected through the jet port. The flexible tube portion can be bent by a jet of the fluid from through the jet port independently of the bending tube portion.

Borescope apparatus

A stone disintegrator apparatus has a probe with discharge electrodes and a power supply circuit for supplying a discharge voltage to the probe for causing discharge between the discharge electrodes. An electrode life detection circuit detects the number of use or discharge operations of the probe so as to determine the remaining life of the discharge electrodes. A discharge inhibit circuit inhibits re-use or discharge of the probe when the life detection circuit detects an end of electrode life.

An air and liquid supplying device has an air pump, a first feed liquid tank containing a first liquid, and a first selector valve connected to a feed air passage and a feed liquid passage of an endoscope. The pump is connected to the first selector valve by a air supply passage and the liquid tank is connected to the valve by a liquid supply passage. The air supply passage is connected to the tank through a pressurizing passage. The first valve is shifted between a first position where air from the pump is fed into the feed air passage and a second position where the first liquid is fed into the feed liquid passage. A second feed liquid tank containing a second liquid is connected to the air supply passage between the pump and the pressurizing passage. A second selector valve is connected to the air supply passage and shifted between a first position where air from the pump is fed into the air supply passage, and a second position where the second liquid is fed into the air supply passage.

Air and liquid supplying device for endoscopes

A liquid supplying device has a housing with a connecting portion to which a connector of an endoscope is connected. A lamp, an air pump and a liquid supply tank are arranged in the housing. The pump is connected to the connecting portion and the tank through a pipe. The tank is connected to the connecting portion through a pipe. A switching mechanism is connected to the pipes. A selector valve is connected to the pipe at a position between the pump and the tank. A control circuit is connected to the lamp and pump, and a light source switch is connected to the control circuit. When the switch is closed, the circuit drives the lamp and pump and switches the selector valve to a first position for blocking the pipe, thereby preventing supply of the liquid to the endoscope. When the switch is open, the circuit switches the selector valve to a second position for communicating the pipe. If the switching mechanism is operated under this condition, the liquid is supplied to the endoscope through the pipe.

Liquid supplying device for endoscope

An air and liquid supplying device for an endoscope has a main body with a connecting portion and an air pump arranged in the main body. A first switch control valve is connected to an air supply channel and a liquid supply channel of the endoscope. A universal cord is connected at one end to a control section of the endoscope and at the other end to the connecting portion through a connector. A first air feed path extends from the first valve to the end of the connector through the universal cord. A liquid feed path extends from the first valve through the universal cord and communicates with a first liquid supply tank. The air pump is connected to the connecting portion through a second air feed path. A second liquid supply tank including second liquid is connected to the second air feed path. A second switch control valve is connected to the second air feed path to switch between the supply of air and the supply of the second liquid to the second air feed path. When the connector is not connected to the connecting portion, leakage of the second liquid through the connecting portion is prevented by a leakage preventing device.

Among the plurality of channels, some channels are selected and set in accordance with the scanning line density. The selected channels are used in combination, and the loci described by succeeding channels will partly overlap the loci described by the preceeding channels.

A method and apparatus for forming latent images in which all channel heads are used in different line density scanning. In the case of a multi-channel head having at least three channels which are positioned with a constant distance, the order of the arrangement of loci of the respective channels is made to correspond to two normal and reverse sets of line densities, so that recording at two different line densities can be made by one multi-channel head.

Method and apparatus for forming magnetic latent images

A magnetic printing apparatus provides a recording head having a plurality of channels with different tracking widths. A locus is described by a preceding channel having a wide tracking width, another locus is described being partly overlapped on said locus by using a succeeding channel having a narrow tracking width. The width of locus described by the preceding channel is so corrected as will become nearly equal to the tracking width of the succeeding channel, while the overlapped portion of said locus is written into the succeeding channel.

Method for forming a latent image and apparatus for carrying out the same

In a magnetic copying machine, a reflected light from an original copy is converted into an electrical signal, and supplied to a magnetic recording head to form a magnetic latent image on a magnetic recording drum. The magnetic latent image is developed by a magnetic toner, and the toner picture is transferred onto a recording paper. The transferred toner picture is fixed on the recording paper, and the remaining toner on the surface of the magnetic recording drum is cleaned after the transfer operation. When the copy magnification factor is larger than one, the pulse interval of clock pulses generated in synchronization with the rotation of the magnetic recording drum for reading out the electrical signal is made longer than that used with actual-size copying, and the movement of the magnetic recording head in the axial direction of the magnetic recording drum per one revolution of the magnetic recording drum is made larger than that used with actual-size copying. When the copy magnification factor is smaller than one, the pulse interval of clock pulses generated in synchronization with the rotation of the magnetic recording drum for reading out the electrical signal is made shorter than that used with actual-size copying, and the movement of the magnetic recording head in the axial direction of the magnetic recording drum per one revolution of the magnetic recording drum is made shorter than that in the actual-size copy.

A ventilation and feedwater switching apparatus for an endoscope including a tubular member adapted to be fixedly mounted in an operating end of an endoscope, and adapted to have a ventilation tube and a feedwater tube connected to it, in such a manner that the tubular body is disposed in a ventilation path and a feedwater path. A cylindrical sliding valve body is slidably and removably fitted in the tubular body to permit switching between the ventilation and the water feed operation. The sliding valve body has an air discharge port at its upper end, and at its lower end an air delivery port which is normally closed by a check valve body which is detachably mounted thereon. In one preferred embodiment, a valve push rod is disposed in and extends through the sliding valve body, and forces the check valve body open in response to an external push.

In a duplicator, a reflected light from a document or an original copy is converted into an electrical video signal by an image pickup element, and the electrical video signal is supplied to a magnetic recording head to form a magnetic latent image on a magnetic recording drum, in the latent image forming mode. In the copy mode, the magnetic latent image is developed by a magnetic toner, and the toner picture is transferred onto a recording paper which runs through a paper transport path. The transferred toner picture is fixed on the recording paper, and the remaining toner on the surface of the magnetic recording drum is scraped after the transfer operation. A set value of a copy register is compared with a counting value of a copy counter by a comparator. When the counting value reaches the set value, a copy end signal is generated. With the pushing of a copy switch, a control portion of the duplicator operates, first for the latent image forming mode and then for the copy mode. The copy mode is maintained without returning to the latent image forming mode, until the copy end signal is generated.
