A composition including a thermoplastic resin, and a combustion accelerator composed of an inorganic carrier and a platinum group element supported on the inorganic carrier in an amount of 0.001-0.2% by weight based on a total weight of the inorganic carrier and the platinum group element. The combustion accelerator is in the form of particles and present in such an amount that the concentration of the platinum group element is 0.5-100 ppm by weight based on a total weight of the combustion accelerator and the thermoplastic resin.

Thermoplastic resin composition and shaped body thereof

A resin composition containing 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic fluorine-containing resin, 1-40 parts by weight of polymer-grafted carbon black, 1-15 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyether resin, and 0-2 parts by weight of an electrolyte. An endless seamless belt having the above composition is suited as an intermediate image transfer element for an electrophotographic image forming apparatus.

Moderately electrically conducting resin composition and molded article thereof

A biodegradable film or the like shaped article is formed from a composition including 100 parts by weight of cellulose fibers having a length of 3 mm or less and a diameter of 50 .mu.m or less, 10-600 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin and 2-100 parts by weight of chitosan. A mixture containing (a) an aqueous solution of an acid salt of chitosan, (b) an aqueous dispersion or solution of a thermoplastic resin and (c) fine cellulose fibers is dried and shaped to obtain such a biodegradable shaped article.

Biodegradable composition and shaped article obtained therefrom

A biodegradable sheet is produced from an aqueous dispersion containing finely cut cellulose fibers and chitosan. The dispersion is maintained at a temperature T.sub.1 .degree.C. which is within the following range:
