An image processing device comprises a reproducing part for reproducing an image signal from a recording medium, a printing part for printing on a recording material an image relative to the image signal reproduced from the recording medium, and a manual operating member. In response to an operation of the manual operating member, the reproducing part reproduces the image signal from the recording medium and the printing part prints out the image signal reproduced from the recording medium. The image processing device enables contents recorded on the recording medium to be checked by a minimum and simple operation in a short time.

Image processing apparatus responsive to single input for image reproduction and printing

An exposure control device for performing exposure control on the basis of a video signal obtained from a light measuring area set within an image sensing plane is provided with a determining circuit which determines the position of a photographed object within the image sensing plane from the values of a specific component of the video signal obtained from the inside and outside of a detection area the position of which is variably set within the image sensing plane. The light measuring area is set in the object's position within the image sensing plane detected by the determining circuit. The exposure control device is provided further with a changing circuit which detects the size of the object on the image sensing plane and changes the size of the light measuring area accordingly, and a weighting circuit which performs for light measurement a weighting operation on video signals obtained from the inside and outside of the light measuring area.

Exposure control device

An image processor includes a video processing circuit which converts and processes a video signal. A first image processing circuit further processes the video signal processed by the video processing circuit, with emphasis on image gradation to generate image data matching the recording format of a recording apparatus. A second image processing circuit further processes the video signal processed by the video processing circuit, with emphasis on the sharpness of image contours to generate image data matching the recording format of the recording apparatus. A selecting circuit selects the first or second image processing circuit based on the type of video signal processed by the video processing circuit.

An image pickup apparatus for outputting an image pickup signal by forming an image of a subject on an image pickup element through an optical system includes a determining circuit for picking up a plurality of color information signals from the image pickup element, comparing the color information signals with a predetermined reference value to determine that the color information signals reach a predetermined level and detecting quantity of a skin color signal component; and a control circuit for controlling the exposure of the image pickup element in accordance with the result of the determination.

An image pickup apparatus including an image pickup device for picking up the image of a subject, a zoom lens of changing a magnification for the image entering the image pickup device, and a scan range changing circuit for changing the scan range of the image pickup device. It enlarges and reduces the image signal by a combination of a variable magnification of the zoom lens and a variable scan range of the image pickup device.
