Plastic working method and apparatus are disclosed. The plastic work such as forging is carried out by partial pressing contact of a die with a partial portion of a workpiece. The die is moved in a swinging or circular rocking fashion. The plastic working apparatus comprises a lower die for supporting the workpiece; an upper die swingably provided in a swinging plane about a predetermined position for relatively depressing the workpiece with respect to the lower die in accordance with the swing motion and for performing the plastic work to the workpiece in cooperation with the lower die; and a moving mechanism for relatively moving the workpiece and the upper die within the swing plane during the working operation. A plastic working method comprises the steps of; swinging at predetermined amplitudes the die arranged in confronted relations with the workpiece; and, relatively moving a center of the swing amplitudes of the die relative to the workpiece within its swinging plane, thereby performing the plastic work in response to a shape of a molding die portion of said die.

Plastic working method and apparatus

A plastic working method and apparatus which performs swiveling motion of an upper die mounted on a die holder. A toggle mechanism is provided for power assisting function. The toggle mechanism includes a link and the die holder. Upper and lower end portion of the die holder are movably supported by upper and lower double eccentric rotary mechanisms for changing orientation of the die holder. The link is disposed within the die holder and has upper end supported by a machine frame and a lower end supported by the die holder. Orientation of the link is also changeable.

An automatic sewing machine wherein a plurality blocks of unit pattern information including many position data which are respectively corresponded to each of various unit stitch patterns such as letters, symbols, etc. are stored in memory means. In this machine a first manual means for selecting an individual unit pattern information from the plurality blocks of unit pattern information stored in the memory means in a desired order and a second manual means capable of determining at will an individual size, an individual inter-distance, and arrangement direction of the selected unit stitch patterns when they are formed on a workpiece are disposed in an operable manner by an operator. A newly combined stitch pattern consisting of a plurality blocks of unit pattern information selectively designated by the first manual means is modified owing to an operation of the second manual means, and each position data of the modified combination pattern information is read out in response to a synchronizing signal from the stitch forming mechanism. The workpiece is changed its position in relation to the needle according to the read out position data. In this way a combination stitch pattern is formed on the workpiece in a determined size, distance, and arrangement direction by the sewing operator.

An apparatus for attaching a plurality of studs on a flexible sheet material such as work fabric, leather or the like according to a desired pattern comprizes a holder for holding the sheet material, a supply device for supplying studs severally, a plastic working device including a punch and die set for attaching the studs on the sheet material, and a drive device for varying the relative position between the holder and the plastic working device. The studs may be supplied severally and attached sequentially to the sheet material while the relative position between the holder and the plastic working device is varied by the drive device.

Apparatus for attaching a plurality of studs on flexible sheet material

An automatic embroidery or stitch pattern sewing machine provided with a memory for storing plural blocks of cell pattern information respectively including zone data related to figure and location of a triangular or quadrangular zone on which a cell stitch pattern is to be formed, and a manual input device for setting up desired number of stitches to be formed in the zone. Based on the position data stored in the memory and the stitch number data set by the manual input device, a microprocessor connected thereto calculates the position data of the actual stitch forming positions; and a drive mechanism relatively moves the needle and the workpiece according to the position data calculated. Many cell stitch patterns thus formed on the workpiece turns out to be a desired unit stitch pattern such as a letter, symbol and other patterns.

An automatic sewing machine for forming a desired pattern on a workpiece by means of varying the position of a workholder for holding the workpiece in relation to a needle which is vertically reciprocated due to pattern data stored in advance in memory means. A sewing machine of this type is provided with a manual input device for setting up a numerical limit indicating an allowably movable sphere of the workholder without impacting or interfering with the needle and a controller for calculating a numerical result indicating the movement amount of the workholder in relation to the needle during the pattern forming operation based on the pattern data prior to the pattern forming operation. The controller makes a comparison of the calculated numerical result with the numerical limit set by the manual input means, and generates a signal for warning the operator of the exceeding, if so being the case, of the calculated numerical result over the above-mentioned set numerical limit.

A sewing machine provided with a needle capable of vertically reciprocating as well as laterally oscillating, a workholder so disposed as to be movable, in an X-Y coordinate plane which is in substantially right-angled relation with the needle, in the direction of the X axis and the Y axis, and memory means for storing data for controlling the oscillation movement amount of the needle and the shift amount of the workholder. The workholder is disposed in such a posture that each movement direction of X axis and Y axis thereof intersects the oscillation movement direction of the needle, whereby embroidery or stitch patterns of letters, symbols, and other patterns can be formed on the workpiece held on the workholder exclusively with slant stitches at a predetermined angle against a horizontal reference line of the letters, etc.
