A display device for displaying an image on a light emitting display, includes addition means for adding a rim to an icon, superimpose means for superimposing the rimmed icon on the image, change means for changing a ratio of superimpose between the icon and the image, and display control means for controlling displaying the image superimposed with the rimmed icon on the display, wherein the icon is superimposed on the image in a semi-transparent manner.

Display device and display method

An image pickup apparatus includes a case, a photographing optical system, an imaging element, and a viewfinder device. The viewfinder device includes a viewfinder case, a transmission liquid crystal panel, a lighting device, a first sheet polarizer, and a second sheet polarizer. The viewfinder case includes a case body and a case partitioning member. The lighting device and the first sheet polarizer are supported inside the case partitioning member. The transmission liquid crystal panel is supported inside the case partitioning member with the display surface faced to the window. The second sheet polarizer is supported inside the case body.

Image pickup apparatus and display device

A liquid-crystal display apparatus includes a liquid-crystal panel () having a color filter (), a W light-emitting diode () for irradiating white light to the liquid-crystal panel (), RGB light-emitting diodes () for irradiating lights of more than two colors containing white to the liquid-crystal panel (), a luminance sensor () for detecting ambient illuminance of the liquid-crystal panel () to output a detected signal and a control unit () for switching the W light-emitting diode () and the RGB light-emitting diodes () based on the detected signal from the luminance sensor (). In a related-art liquid-crystal display apparatus, since lights of red (R), green (G) and blue (B) are emitted with a time lag and superimposed upon each other so that a clear color may not be obtained in each pixel, thus resulting in insufficient color reproducing capability. According to the present invention, these defects encountered with the related art can be obviated.
