A system for automatically packaging photosensitive rolls includes a flanged member installing device for selecting flanged members corresponding to a photosensitive roll and automatically installing the flanged members respectively on opposite ends of the photosensitive roll, a tape member applying device for automatically applying a joint tape to an end of the photosensitive roll, a packaging sheet working device for automatically processing light-shielding leaders to dimensions corresponding to the photosensitive roll, an applying mechanism for automatically applying the processed light-shielding leaders to the photosensitive roll, and a packaging sheet takeup device for automatically winding the light-shielding leaders around the photosensitive roll.

Method of and system for automatically packaging rolls

When packaging a roll product in which a belt-shaped sensitized material has been wound around a core with a light shielding sheet, the packaging apparatus is capable of forming an angle pleated portion of a gather-folded portion which covers a roll end surface with stability, and the package of roll product is capable of retaining the light shielding property and the moisture resistance while making the area of the sheet as small as possible. The gather-folding apparatus forms angle pleated portions on end surface wrapping material by means of both plate-shaped folding members which come into plane contact from outside of the end surface wrapping material and inter support arms which come into line-contact with the inner peripheral surface of the end surface wrapping material. This gather-folding apparatus forms, by means of both the surfaces of the plate-shaped folding members and the line of the inter support arm, two planes of folded planes sandwiching the line concerned. In this case, since these two planes of folded planes are formed with equal tension, the angle pleated portion can be formed with stability.

Packaging apparatus for roll product and package of roll product

A packaging apparatus has hot air supply mechanisms disposed in association with light-shielding shrinkable films wound on a rolled photosensitive material sheet, for ejecting hot air locally to the light-shielding shrinkable films, and a drive mechanism for relatively rotating the hot air supply mechanisms along an outer circumferential surface of the rolled photosensitive material sheet.

Method of and apparatus for packaging light-shielding photosensitive material roll, and apparatus for heating and supplying fluid

A pillow type packaging apparatus has a suction belt for conveying flexible continuous sheet material. A guide unit guides the continuous sheet material being conveyed, and forms the continuous sheet material into a quadrangular tube in which a pair of its longitudinal edges are confronted with each other. A center sealer thermally seals up the longitudinal edges. An inserter inserts an article into the tube through the guide unit. The tube is formed into a packaging bag by cutting and sealing. In the guide unit, an inner guide frame is inside an outer guide frame. The outer guide frame includes first to fourth corner portions, which are disposed in a quadrangular shape, have inside edges in contact with the continuous sheet material, and shape the continuous sheet material into the tube. The first to fourth corner portions are movable in directions of width and height of the continuous sheet material. The tube is changeable in a size. The inner guide frame includes fifth to eighth corner portions, which respectively correspond the first to fourth corner portions, are disposed in a quadrangular shape, contact the continuous sheet material, and maintain the continuous sheet material shaped in the tube inside the first to fourth corner portions. The fifth to eighth corner portions are movable in the directions of the width and height with respective distances therefrom to the first to fourth corner portions kept unchanged.

Pillow type packaging apparatus

A trimming processing device automatically processes trimmings generated when a running wide web is slit in the running direction of the web into a plurality of strips having desired widths. A trimming cutting unit movable in the transverse direction of the web cuts the trimmings in the transverse direction of the trimmings, and a trimming conveyor unit movable in the transverse direction of the web conveys the trimmings away from the web. The positions of the trimming cutting unit and the trimming conveyor unit are controlled according to the position of the trimmings which varies according to the width of the web and the width and the number of the strips to be slit from the web.

Automatic trimming processing device

A web winding apparatus for taking up a web in a predetermined width by rotating a core in a predetermined length in a winding section includes a core cutting section which cuts a core in the predetermined length from a core material. A core conveyor directly couples the core cutting section to the winding section and transfers the core cut in the core cutting section to the winding section.

Web winding apparatus

In a web winder for winding a web strip on a core, the web strip is brought into contact with the core at a predetermined position. The web strip is cut in such a position that the length of the portion of the web strip between the leading end and the predetermined position is slightly shorter than the length of the periphery of the core. The leading end portion of the web strip is applied to the circumferential surface of the core, and a wrapping roller is applied on the leading end portion of the web strip to press it against the core. Then the wrapping roller is rotated along the core toward said predetermined position by a predetermined angle with the web strip intervening between the core and the wrapping roller.

Web winder for winding up web on core and method of automatically

An apparatus for feeding end securing tapes sequentially feeds a plurality of end securing tapes into an end securing apparatus which simultaneously carries out end securing operations on a plurality of products. The apparatus for feeding end securing tapes comprises a wind-up device for winding up an adhesive tape, which has a non-adhesive surface at a side end. A cutting device cuts the adhesive tape, which has been wound up around the wind-up device, into a predetermined size, and thereby forms a plurality of end securing tapes. A transfer device receives the end securing tapes, which have been formed by the cutting device, from the wind-up device, and transfers the received end securing tapes. A conveyance device receives the plurality of the end securing tapes at predetermined intervals from the transfer device, and conveys the plurality of the end securing tapes, which have been arrayed at the predetermined intervals, into the end securing apparatus.

Apparatus for feeding end securing tapes

A slitter slits a wide web into narrow strips by at least one slitting blade mounted on a shaft member which extends in the transverse direction of the wide web while the wide web is fed in the longitudinal direction thereof. The slitter is provided with a slitting width changing system which has a slitting blade holder which holds the slitting blade and is fitted on the shaft member to be rotatable about the shaft member between a released position in which it can be slid along the shaft member in the longitudinal direction of the shaft member and a locked position in which it is fixed to the shaft member not to slide along the shaft member. A slitting blade shift mechanism rotates the slitting blade holder to the released position, slides it along the shaft member to a position determined according to a desired slitting width, and rotates it to the locked position.
