A high-frequency power amplifier includes: a semiconductor substrate; transistor cells separated from each other and located on the semiconductor substrate; and testing electrodes respectively connected to individual transistor cells, wherein an electrical signal and power to individually operate each corresponding transistor cell are supplied to each transistor cell, independently, from outside, using the testing electrodes.

High-frequency power amplifier and method for manufacturing the same

An amplifier includes a transistor chip, a matching chip with a capacitor group having multiple MIM capacitors, each of the MIM capacitors including a lower electrode, a dielectric, and an upper electrode, a bonding wire that electrically connects the transistor chip to the upper electrode of any one of the MIM capacitors of the capacitor group and transmits a high-frequency signal, and a case that accommodates the transistor chip and the matching chip. The lower electrodes of the MIM capacitors are grounded, and capacitance values of each of the MIM capacitors of the capacitor group are different from each other.

Amplifier

A switching power supply unit is provided, which can output a DC voltage and an AC voltage with a minimized installation space. A switching circuit is provided between a winding of a transformer and a main battery. A rectifier circuit is provided between other windings of the transformer and an accessory battery. Output terminals for outputting an AC output voltage are provided at the other side of the transformer, the AC output voltage being generated based on a DC input voltage inputted from the main battery. A DC output voltage and the AC output voltage are generated based on the DC input voltage, and then outputted. The transformer is shared by a generation path of the DC output voltage and a generation path of the AC output voltage. An AC voltage input section to be inputted with the AC input voltage from external equipment may be provided at the other side of the transformer.

Switching power supply unit

Provided is a switching power supply unit being able to perform voltage conversion between two DC power supplies, and perform appropriate charge operation based on an inputted AC voltage. When a main battery is preferentially charged, an SW control section performs control such that a duty ratio is fixed in switching operation of a switching circuit, and a duty ratio is variable in switching operation of a bidirectional switching circuit. On the other hand, when an accessory battery is preferentially charged, the SW control section performs control such that a duty ratio is variable in switching operation of each of the switching circuit and the bidirectional switching circuit. When the accessory battery is preferentially charged, the SW control section may perform control such that the duty ratio is fixed in switching operation of the switching circuit, and a duty ratio is variable in switching operation of a switching element.

A discharge load driving circuit has a transformer with a low voltage coil and a high voltage coil wound around a magnetic core. The high voltage coil has a transformation ratio for setting a high self-resonance frequency value for the transformer to thereby output high voltage at a short rise time period. The discharge load driving circuit further includes a switching element connected to the transformer for switching on and off a d-c input supplied thereto through the low voltage coil of the transformer. The discharge load driving circuit further includes a driver circuit for driving a switching element driving pulse, a control circuit for controlling the driver circuit, a discharge load connected to the high voltage coil for discharging load by a high voltage output generated in the high voltage coil when the switching element is turned on, and a detector for detecting a flow of discharge current in the discharge load. The switching element repeats its on-off action in a predetermined. For supplying a required amount of discharge energy to the discharged load until self-propagation of a flame subsequent to generation of a flame nucleus by a spark discharge of the discharge load.

Regulated forward converter for generating repeating spark discharge

In a transformer including a low-voltage input coil, a high-voltage output coil disposed coaxially of the low-voltage input coil, and a core for magnetically connecting both of the coils together; the improvement comprising a first bobbin around which the low-voltage input coil is wound which first bobbin has an inner-diameter hole, wherein the core comprises a rod portion to be inserted into the inner-diameter hole of the first bobbin and a flange portion provided at one axial end of the rod portion. In another aspect of the invention, the transformer further comprises a second bobbin around which the high-voltage output coil is wound, and a connector adapted to be connected to an ignition plug which connector is mounted on an end surface of the second bobbin on the opposite side of the flange portion of the core in such a manner that a mounting direction of the connector substantially coincides with an axial direction of the second bobbin. In a further aspect of the invention, the transformer further comprises a shield case formed of a magnetic conductive material surrounding an outer periphery of the connector or entirely surrounding the transformer. The rod portion of the core may have a tapering cross section such that it is gradually tapered from a low voltage side of the high-voltage output coil to a high voltage side thereof. With this arrangement, the transformer may be easily assembled and made compact. Further, a magnetic efficiency may be improved, and an insulating distance between the low-voltage input coil and the high-voltage output coil may be ensured.
