A fluorescent composition for low velocity electron beam excitation, comprising a phosphor containing a sulfide of the formula (Zn.sub.1-x,Cd.sub.x)S wherein x is a number satisfying a condition of 0.ltoreq.X.ltoreq.1, as the host material, and an electrically conductive material mixed or mutually adhered to each other, wherein the half value width (2.theta.) of the strongest diffraction line in the diffraction X-ray spectrum of said sulfide is within a range of from 0.05.degree. to 0.16.degree..

Fluorescent composition for low velocity electron beam excitation

A fluorescent composition for low velocity electron beam excitation, comprising a phosphor capable of emitting light under excitation by a high velocity electron beam and indium oxide (In.sub.2 O.sub.3) mixed or mutually adhered to each other, wherein the half value width of the strongest diffraction line in the diffraction X-ray spectrum of the indium oxide (In.sub.2 O.sub.3) is within a range of from 0.10.degree. to 0.25.degree..

A fluorescent composition composed of a mixture of a sulfide phosphor and a conductive material, the sulfide phosphor consisting essentially of a sulfide of the formula (Zn.sub.1-x, Cd.sub.x)S wherein x is a number satisfying a condition of 0.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.1, as host material, and zinc oxide (ZnO) or a compound capable of being converted to zinc oxide (ZnO) by heat treatment and alumina, adhered to the surface of the host material.

Fluorescent composition

A fluorescent composition having improved luminance, which is composed of a phosphor consisting essentially of a sulfide represented by the formula: (Zn.sub.1-x, Cd.sub.x)S, [wherein x is a number satisfying a condition of 0.ltoreq.x.ltoreq.1], as the host material; and indium oxide (In.sub.2 O.sub.3), both being mixed or adhered each other, and in which zinc oxide (ZnO) and/or a compound of zinc which can be converted to zinc oxide (ZnO) by heat-treatment is adhered onto the surface of said phosphor or the respective surfaces of said phosphor and said indium oxide.

An electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photoconductive layer on a substrate. The photoconductive layer comprises a photoconductor and a water-soluble compound which reacts with free anion released from the photoconductor to produce an unsoluble salt and contains anion having smaller equivalent ionic conductance than that of the free anion.
