It is provided an illumination apparatus, comprising a beam combiner comprising two dichroic reflective surfaces and configured to combine a first light from a first light source, a second light from a second light source, and a third light from a third light source into combined light; a combination of the second light passing through the combiner and the third light passing through the combiner is closer to the white point than each of the second light and the first light passing through the combining portion; or the third light passing through the combiner is closer to the white point than each of the second light and the first light passing through the combining portion.

Illumination system

An illumination apparatus for outputting an output light includes a first light source configured to emit first light with a first peak wavelength in a first range of 660 nm to 699 nm and a second light source configured to emit second light with a second peak wavelength in a second range of 689 nm to 705 nm. The second peak wavelength is larger than the first peak wavelength by at least 5 nm and the second light source is configured to be switched on and off independently from the first light source. The apparatus is configured to output the first light as the output light if the second light source is switched off and to output the first light and the second light as the output light if the second light source is switched on.

An illumination apparatus includes an exit layer including a phosphor; a plurality of first light sources and a plurality of second light sources; wherein, the first light sources and the second light sources are arranged in plural unit cells; the plurality of the first light sources is controllable separately from the plurality of the second light sources; the first and second light sources are arranged spaced apart from the exit layer; the phosphor converts at least a portion of the first lights into first converted lights; if the first and second light sources emit the first and second lights, respectively, on a line connecting corresponding positions of two adjacent unit cells of the plurality of unit cells projected on the exit layer, a variation of a total intensity of the respective lights is less than 20%.

It is provided an illumination apparatus, comprising a first light source mounted on a board emitting first light having a first wavelength spectrum; a second light source mounted on the board emitting second light having a second wavelength spectrum; a phosphor layer converting at least a part of at least one of the first light and the second light into first converted light and second converted light, respectively; wherein the phosphor layer emits a remaining part of the first light, a remaining part of the second light, the first converted light, and the second converted light; the phosphor layer is in contact with the first and second light sources and continuous on the first and second light sources, and on a path on the board connecting the first and second light sources; the phosphor layer and the board surround the first light source and the second light source.
