Endoscopic forceps

The flexible endoscopehas a flexible insertion portionto be inserted in an observation zoneof a MRI apparatus. The insertion portionhas an inner tubemade of resin, triple helical tubescovering the inner tubeand an outer tubemade of resin and covering the triple helical tubes. The triple helical tubesinclude a first helical bandhelically wound around an outer peripheral surface of the inner tube, a second helical bandhelically wound around an outer periphery of the first helical bandin a direction opposite to a winding direction of the first helical bandand a third helical bandhelically wound around an outer periphery of the second helical bandin a direction opposite to the winding direction of the second helical band. The first to third helical bandsare made of phosphor bronze or copper-silver alloy, which are materials having low magnetic susceptibility.

Flexible endoscope suitable for MRI

A clip applier includes a body, an insertion tubeextending from the bodyand inserted in a channel of an endoscope and a clamp mechanismdisposed at a distal end of the insertion tube. The clamp mechanismhas a support memberfixed at the distal end of the insertion tubeand a pair of clamp membersrotatably supported by the support member. The clamp membersare connected to a distal end of a wirevia a pair of links. The clamp membersrespectively include gripping portionsprotruding form the support member. A clipis received in receiving groovesof the gripping portions. When the wireis pulled by operating an operation member disposed on the body, the clamp membersare rotated against an elastic force of a hinge portionof the clip, thereby causing a pair of clip portionsof the clipto be opened.

A wire memberis received in a flexible partof an endoscopeand adapted to remotely curvilinearly control a bendable partat a distal end of the flexible insertion part. The wire memberincludes a braidbraiding from a plurality of resin fibers and an adhesive agentimpregnated in the braidand hardened. The impregnating and hardening of the adhesive agentare carried out in a state where the braidis applied with a tensile force having a predetermined magnitude.

Curvilinearly controlling wire member of endoscope and method for manufacturing the same

An omnidirectional endoscope deviceis provided at a distal end part of an insertion sectionof an endoscopewith an omnidirectional light receiving unitfor receiving an incident light from all around the periphery in the peripheral direction and reflecting the light toward a relay lens optical system. The insertion sectionslidably pierces through a retaining cylinder. A light guide(illumination light transmitting means) is embedded in the retaining cylinder, and an outgoing surface at the distal end of this light guideis faced with a distal end face of the retaining cylinder. The retaining cylindercan be operated in a sliding manner by a gripdisposed at the basal end. By this, the illumination light can strike upon the view field of the omnidirectional light receiving mechanism regardless whether the inside space of an image to be observed is large or small.

A guiding apparatus M comprises a stopper for restricting the depth of insertion of a sheath . The sheath is slidingly movably inserting into the stopper . Moreover, a lock bar , which is generally in orthogonal relation to the sheath , is received in the stopper . One end portion of the lock bar projects from the stopper and serves as a control portion , while the other end portion thereof is provided with slits and serves as a biasing portion . A recess for partly receiving therein the sheath is formed in an intermediate section of the lock bar . An inner surface of the recess is urged against an outer periphery of the sheath under the effect of the biasing portion , thereby locking the stopper to the sheath . By pressing the control portion against the force of the biasing portion , the stopper is unlocked.

Surgical operation guiding apparatus

A hard endoscope used for assisting a micro-operation includes a body and an insert portion extending from the body. The insert portion includes a first linear portion, and a second linear portion longer than the first linear portion. The first and second linear portions are arranged forwardly in order from the body. A connecting portion is disposed between the first linear portion and the second linear portion. The insert portion thus constructed exhibits a bent configuration. The first and second linear portions have a first and a second relay lens, respectively, therein. The connecting portion has a prism therein. This prism transmits the light coming through the first relay lens to the second relay lens.

Hard endoscope used for assisting micro-operation

A high-frequency treatment device for an endoscope has an elongated piercing portion. A sleeve-like first electrode is disposed at a distal end portion of this piercing portion. A bar-like second electrode is coaxially disposed within the first electrode. A sleeve-like insulative layer is interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode.

An endoscope unit includes an endoscope having an insertion portion and a fluid supply instrument mounted on the insertion portion. The fluid supply instrument comprises a thin resilient tube. This resilient tube is intimately attached to an outer periphery of the insertion portion of the endoscope and radially expansible. A supply member is connected to a basal end of the resilient tube. When fluid from this supply member is supplied to the basal end of the resilient tube, the resilient tube is radially expanded and a fluid passage is formed between the resilient tube and the insertion portion of the endoscope. The fluid is discharged from a distal end of the resilient tube.

Endoscope unit

In an adhesive sprayer for a living body, a hard insert portion extends from a sprayer body, a bendable portion extends from a distal end of the insert portion, and a nozzle portion is disposed on a distal end of this bendable portion. Gas from a gas inlet port formed in the sprayer body is injected from a gas injection port formed in the nozzle portion after passing through a passage which is allowed to extend through the interiors of the sprayer body, insert portion and bendable portion. Adhesive from an adhesive inlet port formed in the sprayer body is injected from an adhesive discharge port formed in the nozzle portion after passing through another passage which is allowed to extend through the interiors of the sprayer body, insert portion, and bending portion. The bending portion is bent by controlling a control member mounted on the sprayer body via a control cable extending through the interiors of the sprayer body, insert portion and bendable portion.

Adhesive sprayer for living body

A pair of forceps cups disposed on a distal end of an elongated guide tube is opened and closed by remote control of a control mechanism disposed on a rear end of the guide tube through a wire within the guide tube. The control mechanism includes a holder having a rod portion, and a slider slidably disposed on the rod portion. A receiving member is mounted on a rear end portion of the wire at a forward position of the slider. This receiving member is biased backwardly by a compressed coil spring. The slider is not connected to the rear end portion of the wire. During the course of a forward movement of the slider, the slider contacts the receiving member and causes the wire to move forwardly through this receiving member. As a consequence, the pair of forceps cups is opened. When the slider is moved backwardly, the wire is pulled under the effect of the coil spring. Consequently, the pair of forceps cups is closed.

Forceps instrument for endoscope

A tracheal airway apparatus includes an insert tube and an endoscope. The endoscope includes a body and an insert portion extending forwardly of the body and inserted into the insert tube. The insert portion is of a double tubular structure. An inner tube of the insert portion is flexible and receives an illumination light transmission element and an image transmission element. An outer tube of the insert portion has a semi-hard property and is detachably attached to a front end part of the body. A space is formed between an inner periphery of the outer tube and an outer periphery of the inner tube.

Tracheal airway apparatus

An enlarging optical system having an objective lens and an ocular lens is received in a body of a microscope. A beam splitter is received in the body on an optical path of the enlarging optical system. This beam splitter is disposed between the objective lens and the ocular lens. A monitor television is also received in the body. An image obtained by an endoscope is displayed in this monitor television. The image displayed in the monitor television is reflected by the beam splitter toward the ocular lens.

Medical observing instrument

A medical instrument for treating sinusitis has a body, an insert tube extending from a distal end of the body, and an angle portion extending from a distal end of the insert tube. The angle portion is bent by a remote control member mounted on the body, through a wire. A motor is mounted on the body. The medical instrument also has a brush. This brush has an elongated rotation transmission portion extending through the insert tube and the angle tube, and a brush portion attached to a distal end of the rotation transmission portion. A basal portion of the rotation transmission portion is connected to the motor. The brush portion is allowed to protect from a distal end of the angle tube. At least that portion of the rotation transmission portion extending through the angle tube is bendable. Therefore, when the motor is rotated in the state that the angle portion is bent, the brush portion is rotated.
