A roll sheet conveying device includes a spool arranged to be rotatable while holding a roll-shaped sheet, a sheet conveying roller for driving and conveying the sheet, and a spool brake mechanism for generating a rotation load to act on the spool, wherein, when the sheet is sent out from the spool by driving the sheet conveying roller, the rotation load of the spool brake mechanism is caused to act on the spool, and when the sheet is rewound onto the spool by driving the spool, the rotation load of the spool brake mechanism is prevented from acting on the spool.

Roll sheet conveying device and recording apparatus

An ink jet textile printing method forms an image on cloths in an image forming operation by repeating a step of applying ink on the cloths from an ink discharge port of a recording head, the recording head relatively main-scanning to form the image in a main scan direction, and a step of relatively conveying the cloths in a sub-scan direction. The method includes the steps of forming the image on the cloths by applying ink on the cloths from the recording head based on image data. The method further includes the step of temporarily stopping the image forming operation in accordance with an indication to effect a temporary halt of the image forming operation. When the temporary halt is indicated while the recording head performs a main scan in the image forming operation, the image forming operation by the main scan is completed, and then the temporary halt of the image forming operation is effected by moving the recording head to a standby position. The method still further includes the step of releasing the temporary halt of the image forming operation and restarting the image forming operation in accordance with an indication for releasing the temporary halt of the image forming operation. When the release of the temporary halt is indicated, ink is discharged from the ink discharge port and then the image forming operation is restarted.

Textile ink jet recording method with temporary halt function

An ink jet textile printing apparatus for performing printing by reading an original image created by a designer, converting the original image into original data represented by an electric signal, retrieving the original data for processing to be output as image data, and recording data on cloth based on the image data. The ink jet textile printing apparatus has a first ink jet recording head provided upstream of a recording position, and a second ink jet recording head provided downstream thereof, and is provided with a drying unit located between the recording heads, whereby high-quality recorded images with less bleeding can be obtained by recording on a recording area again with the second ink jet recording head after drying the recording area on the cloth recorded by the first ink jet recording head with the drying unit.

An image forming apparatus has a photosensitive member for carrying an image, an exposure device for exposing the photosensitive member to form a latent image on the same, a development device for developing the latent image on the photosensitive member with a toner to form a toner image, a transfer member carrier for supporting and conveying a transfer member to a transfer position on the phtosensitive member, a first conveyance mechanism for conveying the transfer member to the transfer carrier member, and a second conveyance mechanism for conveying the transfer member to the first conveyance mechanism. A cancellation mechanism is provided to cancel a transfer member conveying force of the first conveyance mechanism after a leading end of the transfer member conveyed by the first conveyance mechanism has been supported on the transfer member carrier. A trailing end of the transfer member passes through a nip of the second conveyance mechanism during a period of time when the transfer member conveying force of the first conveyance mechanism is canceled by the cancellation mechanism and when the exposure device is not operating. In this arrangement, vibration generated when the transfer member is conveyed to the transfer member carrier by the first and second conveyance mechanisms is prevented from affecting the latent image formation made by the exposure device.

A recording apparatus comprises a recording head for recording an image on a sheet positioned at a predetermined recording position, a conveying device for conveying the sheet so that the sheet passes through the recording position, and a supporting device for supporting the conveying device in such a manner as to shift the conveying device in a first direction transverse to a sheet feeding direction and separating from the recording head and then to shift the conveying device in a second direction in the sheet feeding direction.

This apparatus comprises: an image forming circuit to form different images onto the photo sensitive drums; a transfer device to transfer the images on the drums onto the same transfer paper; a conveying belt to convey the transfer paper; a control circuit to control the image forming circuit so as to form registration marks to match the positions of the images onto the drums; CCD detectors to detect the recording positions of the marks; and a correcting circuit to correct at least two of the positional direction in the conveying direction of the belt, the positional deviation in the direction perpendicular to the belt conveying direction, the magnification of the image, and the inclination of the image on the basis of the detection outputs of the detectors. With this apparatus, the positional deviations of the images which occur during the image formation can be accurately corrected, so that the images can be accurately formed on the transfer paper by reading and matching the position matching registration marks.

The invention relates to an image forming apparatus comprising a belt-shaped member for feeding a sheet, at least one image forming means arranged in confronting relation to the belt-shaped member, a separation means for carrying out the separation between the belt-shaped member and the image forming means by shifting at least one of the belt-shaped member and image forming means, a drive means for driving the belt-shaped member, a cleaning means for cleaning the belt-shaped member, a signal generating means for emitting a signal, and a control means for separating the belt-shaped member from the image forming means by controlling the separation means and for then rotating the belt-shaped member at a predetermined speed during the image formation by controlling the drive means.

An image forming apparatus such as a laser beam printer has a plurality of movable image carrying members such as photosensitive drums, an image forming member such as a laser beam scanner capable of forming on the image carrying members images of different colors correspoding to image information, and transfer devices for sequentially transferring the image carried by the image carrying members to an image receiving member such that the image of different colors are superposed. The image receiving member may be copy paper or an overhead projector sheet, and is fed by a feeding device in the form of an endless belt. An electrographic apparatus includes a plurality of photosensitive members, a plurality of laser projecting devices for projecting deflecting laser beams for scanning the photosensitive members, the laser projecting devices being provided for the respective photosensitive members, mirrors for receiving the laser beams projected from the laser projecting devices and reflecting them in a substantially reverse direction to scan the photosensitive members with the reversed laser beams, the mirrors being provided for the respective laser projecting devices.
