Provided is electric power equipment that allows a battery to be installed and removed with ease. The electric power equipment () includes a main body () defining a battery receiving recess () having an open upper end, and a battery () configured to be received in the battery receiving recess, wherein an upper part of a front end part of the battery is provided with a projection () projecting in a forward direction, and a rear end part of the battery is provided with a grip, and wherein an upper edge of the front end part of the battery receiving recess is provided with a supporting surface () configured to support a lower surface of the projection at least when the battery is being removed from the battery receiving recess.

Electric power equipment

A battery () of power equipment () is received in a battery receiving recess () of the power equipment. A lower front end of the battery is provided with an engagement portion () configured to be engaged by a rib () provided in a lower part of the front end of the battery receiving recess. A first sheet spring member () is provided in a rear part of a bottom surface of the battery receiving recess to urge the battery upward. A latch member () provided in a rear end part of the battery receiving recess engages a rear end of the battery against the spring force of the first sheet spring member.

An outboard motor configured so that an engine is covered by an engine cover, an intake opening is provided to both sides of the engine cover, and air drawn into the engine cover from the intake opening is introduced to a throttle body. A discharging/interference-type muffler is provided partway along an intake channel for guiding air from the intake opening to the throttle body. The discharging/interference-type muffler is provided vertically in the interior of the engine cover, and the interior of the discharging/interference-type muffler is divided in two in the vertical direction.

Outboard motor

An outboard engine unit capable of efficiently cooling the interior of an engine cover is disclosed. The outboard engine unit includes a cooling opening capable of guiding air to an interior from an upper part of the engine cover, a first intake channel having a first outlet open to an upper front end and communicating with the opening, a partition wall disposed so as to be oriented substantially in a perpendicular direction below the first outlet; and a second intake channel extending substantially in the perpendicular direction along a rear wall of the engine cover rearward of the partition wall. The outboard engine unit is configured so that air directed from the cooling opening to the interior of the engine cover is directed to the throttle unit via the second cooling air intake channel.

Outboard engine unit

An intake system for an internal combustion engine has an intake silencerprovided with an expansion chamber, and a connecting pipehaving an inletthrough which air from the expansion chamber flows, and an outletthrough which air flows toward combustion chambers. The connecting pipeis made of an elastic material having rubber elasticity, and has a connecting partconnected to the intake silencer, an inner tubular partextending from the connecting partinto the expansion chamberand having the inlet, and an outer tubular partconnecting to a throttle device. The wallof the inner tubular partis provided with a communication openingfor connecting the expansion chamberand the air passageto make the expansion chamberserve also as a resonance chamber. The outer tubular partof the connecting pipeis shorter than the inner tubular partof the same. The intake silencer is compact and has a combined effect of expansion silencing and resonance silencing.
