In a bulb and a luminaire according to one embodiment, plural fins for thermal radiation are provided on the outer circumferential surface of a main body in which a lighting circuit is attached, a light-emitting module is attached to a module attaching section integrated with the front of the main body, and a cylindrical section that surrounds the light-emitting module is protrudingly provided on a light extracting side.

Light emitting diode lamp

A self-ballasted fluorescent lamp includes a luminous tube that is formed in a bent shape with a pair of electrode-side end portions located at a the bottom end of the luminous tube. A cover houses a lighting device for lighting the luminous tube. A base is attached to the bottom end of the cover, and the luminous tube is supported at the top end, of the lamp. The outer diameter of a bulb of the luminous tuberanges from 3 to 8 mm, and the maximum width of the luminous tube, is not greater than 30 mm. The cover is formed so that the proportion of the distance by which the cover extends from the base to the lamp length excluding the base ranges from 0 to 25%, and so that the maximum outer diameter of the cover ranges from 1.0 to 1.5 times the outer diameter of the base.

Self-ballasted fluorescent lamp and lighting apparatus

A compact fluorescent lamp comprises a fluorescent tube having a helical portion on at least a part thereof and turned down in the middle, a pair of tube ends thereof each provided with a discharge electrode, the pair of tube ends juxtaposing with each other in the same direction, a holder for holding the tube ends so as that the fluorescent tube is supported at the one side thereof, a lighting device for supplying a high-frequency power to the fluorescent tube, the lighting device comprising a circuit board facing the other side of the holder and circuit elements mounted on the circuit board, a cover for accommodating the lighting device, the cover opening at both ends and holding the holder at the one opening end, and a cap fixed to the other opening end of the cover for supplying a commercial power to the lighting device by being mounted to a socket of luminaire, wherein a thin tube is protruded from at least one of the tube ends of the fluorescent tube in the cover, and the thin tube is communicated with the fluorescent tube.

Compact fluorescent lamp and luminaire using the same

A bulb-shaped fluorescent lamp with an emission bulb having a bent tube and a lighting device having a circuit board and electronic parts mounted on the circuit board. The lighting device has a cover member with a cap and a holder for holding the emission bulb and the circuit board has a great part of its electronic parts disposed on the cap side. The lighting device has a fine tube that extends from the end of a portion of the bent tube toward the cap side within the cover member, and protrudes so that the surface temperature of a portion of said fine tube is kept in the range between 40&#x2013;70&#xb0;C. at the time of normal lighting and/or the fine tube extending from the end of the bent tube toward the cap side within the cover member protrudes from the end of said bent tube by 25&#x2013;70 mm.

A fluorescent lamp including, a bulb having an outer surface and an inner surface, discharge gas contained in the bulb and generating ultraviolet rays by a discharge thereof, a pair of electrodes provided to the bulb for generating the discharge, a phosphor film formed on the inner surface of the bulb and having a non-uniform thickness thereof, and an ultraviolet suppressing film for suppressing the ultraviolet rays formed to be faced with the phosphor film, characterized in that the ultraviolet suppressing film has non-uniform ability for suppressing ultraviolet rays penetrating the phosphor film in accordance with portions thereof to decrease the difference in the intensity of the ultraviolet rays emitted from the ultraviolet suppressing film.
