A liquid display panel driving method to drive a plurality of pixels of a liquid display panel in a frame period comprising a plurality of data input intervals is provided. Each pixel comprises first and second capacitors coupled to a first and second common electrode respectively. The liquid display panel driving method comprises the steps of: keeping the second common electrode at the same voltage level; modifying the voltage of the first common electrode of each pixel along a row of scan line to perform a first pre-charge before the data input interval; turning on the pixels to make each pixel receive the data voltage from the data lines during the data input interval; and turning off the pixels and modifying the voltage of the first common electrode to further set the voltage of each of the pixels to a target level after the data input interval.

Liquid display panel driving method

A method for driving a display device is provided herein. The display device includes a plurality of scan lines. The method comprises following steps: dividing the scan lines into a plurality of groups, each of which comprises at least two scan lines, i.e. a first and a second scan line; during a first frame period, sequentially enabling the first and second scan line of each group in accordance with a first driving sequence; and during a second frame period, sequentially enabling the first and second scan line of each group in accordance with a second driving sequence, wherein the first driving sequence is different from the second driving sequence.

Method for driving scan lines on display device

A liquid crystal display device and a driving control circuit thereof are provided. The driving control circuit includes a voltage switch unit and a selection unit. The selection unit selects the voltages in accordance with the control signal, while the voltage switch unit outputs the selected voltage to the common terminal of pixels according to the corresponding scan signal. The driving control circuit, controlled by the control signal and the scan signal, can reduce the modulation frequency and the voltage amplitude, so the power consumption of the liquid crystal display device can be reduced.

Liquid crystal display and driving control circuit thereof

A display panel is provided and includes a display unit and a control unit. The display unit is coupled to a data line and a first scan line. In the display unit, a liquid crystal capacitor is coupled between a pixel electrode and a first common line, and a storage capacitor is coupled between the pixel electrode and a second common line. The control unit receives first and second common voltages and is controlled by first and second control voltage signals and first and second scan signals which are respectively on the first scan line and a second scan line and driven sequentially. The control unit changes the voltage level of the second common line by a two-step manner according to the first and second common voltages. Through feed-through effect of the storage capacitor, the voltage level of the pixel electrode is changed to a desired level.

Display panels with common voltage control units

A method for driving an LCD device having a plurality of sets of gate lines is disclosed. The method includes sequentially enabling odd gate lines of a first set of gate lines in ascending order for writing first-polarity data into corresponding pixels based on a first common voltage during a first interval, sequentially enabling even gate lines of the first set of gate lines in ascending order for writing second-polarity data into corresponding pixels based on a second common voltage during a second interval, sequentially enabling even gate lines of a second set of gate lines in descending order for writing second-polarity data into corresponding pixels based on the second common voltage during a third interval, and sequentially enabling odd gate lines of the second set of gate lines in descending order for writing first-polarity data into corresponding pixels based on the first common voltage during a fourth interval.

Method for driving an LCD device

An LCD with power consumption reduction and a method of driving the same. In one embodiment, the LCD has a plurality of pixels spatially arranged in the form of a matrix having N pixel rows, each pixel row defined between two neighboring scanning lines Gand G, and having an auxiliary common electrode, and a plurality of common voltage driving circuits, each common voltage driving circuit electrically coupled between the scanning line Gand the corresponding auxiliary common electrode for providing a two-level lift-up coupling voltage to the auxiliary common electrode.
