Increasing the pump power multiple times so that the power meter obtains multiple thresholds for a single-frequency laser; obtaining an average pump threshold of the output laser; obtaining cavity parameters of the single-frequency laser; obtaining thermal focal lengths on the tangential and sagittal planes of the laser gain crystal inside the single-frequency laser; obtaining individual ABCD matrices of the laser system on the tangential and the sagittal planes; obtaining a thermal load at the threshold based on the ABCD transfer matrix of the laser gain crystal on the tangential plane, the ABCD transfer matrix of the laser gain crystal on the sagittal plane, and the average pump threshold of the laser system; obtaining a thermal load caused by ETU at threshold based on the thermal load at the threshold.

A device and a method for measuring thermal load caused by excited state absorption in laser gain crystal are disclosed. Thermal focal lengths on the tangential and sagittal planes of the laser gain crystal are obtained by obtaining the threshold when the pump power is decreased, the optimal operating point, and cavity parameters of the single-frequency laser. Individual ABCD matrices of the laser gain crystal on the tangential plane and the sagittal plane are obtained based on thermal focal length. The thermal load corresponding to the threshold when the pump power is decreased, the ESA thermal load corresponding to the threshold when the pump power is decreased, and the ESA thermal load at the optimal operating point are obtained

Device and method for measuring thermal load caused by excited state absorption in laser gain crystal

A method for expanding a tuning range of an all-solid-state continuous-wave single-frequency laser is provided. The method includes inserting a nonlinear frequency-doubling crystal into a laser resonant cavity, and converting a part of intra-cavity fundamental-frequency light to frequency-doubled light by the nonlinear frequency-doubling crystal, outputting the generated frequency-doubled light and the fundamental-frequency light together from the laser resonant cavity, and separating the two via a spectroscope. The method also includes splitting a part of the fundamental-frequency light reflected by the spectroscope through an optical beam-splitter, and outputting the remaining part of the fundamental-frequency light as a main laser. A cavity length of the laser resonant cavity is changed by adjusting a voltage loaded on a piezoelectric ceramic of the all-solid-state continuous-wave single-frequency laser, thereby achieving continuous frequency-tuning of the all-solid-state continuous-wave single-frequency laser.

Method for expanding tuning range of all-solid-state continuous-wave single frequency laser

The present disclosure provides a device for reducing residual amplitude modulation. The device includes an electro-optic modulation device with three crystals connected in series. The three crystals are the first cubic crystal, an intermediate crystal, and the second cubic crystal respectively. The intermediate crystal is an electro-optic modulating crystal. The intermediate crystal is connected to the high-frequency signal source module. The specification of the intermediate crystal is X mm&#xd7;Y mm&#xd7;d mm. The first cubic crystal and the second cubic crystal is connected to both ends of the intermediate crystal in series along the direction of the X axis. The relative dielectric constant of the first cubic crystal and the relative dielectric constant of the second cubic crystal both are equal to the relative dielectric constant of the intermediate crystal. The specification of the first cubic crystal and the specification of the second cubic crystal both are d/2 mm&#xd7;Y mm&#xd7;d mm.
