A scanning device comprises a scanning body, a hinge and a cover. The scanning body has a first slot horizontally extended and formed at one side of the scanning body. The hinge has an upper portion and a lower portion engaged to each other and relatively movable for changing a length of the hinge. The lower portion of the hinge is disposed in the first slot and rotatably coupled to the scanning body. The cover is rotatably coupled to the upper portion of the hinge. When the cover is in a closed position, the hinge is received in the first slot. When an original medium to be scanned with a thickness is placed on the scanning body and positioned by the cover, the hinge is correspondingly rotated to a first position and extended to a first length.

A paper feeding mechanism with a separator and paper blocking mechanisms. When feeding paper, a lift plate carrying paper is moved up to allow a pick-up roller and the separator to move one sheet from the lift plate. After feeding paper, the lift plate is lowered away from the pick-up roller, and the paper blocking mechanism pushes excess paper back to the lift plate.

Automatic paper feeding system

The invention is to provide a paper feeding apparatus and a driving method thereof for an office machine. The office machine includes a paper accommodating device and a paper processing apparatus. The paper accommodating device is for accommodating paper sheets to be processed by the paper processing apparatus. The paper feeding apparatus is for feeding the paper sheets accommodated by the paper accommodating device one by one to the paper processing apparatus. The paper feeding apparatus includes a pickup roller, a delivery roller, a pair of feeding rollers, a detection device, a transmission gear assembly, a drive motor and a controller. The detection device detects a leading edge and a trailing edge of the paper sheet delivered by the paper feeding apparatus. In particular, the paper feeding apparatus is a simple-configuration, light-weight and compact component and capable of feeding paper sheets accurately. During feeding operation of the paper feeding apparatus, the rollers of the paper feeding apparatus are driven rotating in respective direction or stopped rotating so as to feed the paper sheets accurately.

Paper feeding apparatus and driving method thereof for office machine

A paper accommodating assembly for an office machine is provided in the invention. The paper accommodating assembly includes a first paper accommodating device for accommodating paper sheets to be processed by the office machine and a second paper accommodating device for accommodating paper sheets being processed by the office machine. In particular, feeding path of the paper sheets accommodated by the second paper accommodating device is established or blocked in response to the movement of the first paper accommodating device. The paper accommodating assembly of the invention can reduce space occupied by the office machine and avoid paper jam due to the closing of the first paper accommodating device.

A single-button support mechanism is provided to improve a turning means joining an upper portion and a body of a device. The support mechanism constructs a pivot and a holding groove at the upper portion and, at the body, a cam trough, a button groove, and another groove for accommodating a retaining member to further hold a first spring. The cam is formed as saw type teeth at a peripheral thereof, and each tooth of the cam has a notch engageable with a position button. By applying the single-button support mechanism, the turning means can utilize the cam moving in the cam trough for engaging with the upper portion at a selected angle, and utilize the position button movable in the button groove for controlling the opening or closing of the upper portion.
