Embodiments of the present invention provide a method and user equipment for transmitting data. The method includes: determining indication information used for indicating to the user equipment (UE) to use a dual stream mode to transmit data; and determining, according to the indication information and a transmission mode determining condition, a transmission mode used for transmitting data, where the transmit mode is a single stream mode or the dual stream mode. By using the method and user equipment for transmitting data in the embodiments of the present invention, a transmission mode is flexibly selected based on a transmission mode determining condition, and data transmission can be implemented at higher efficiency by combining advantages of the dual stream mode and the single stream mode.

In one aspect, a radio network controller sends configuration information of an uplink common enhanced dedicated transport channel E-DCH resource pool to a base station, where the configuration information of E-DCH resource pool includes information of a first resource pool to which a first transmission time interval corresponds and information of a second resource pool to which a second transmission time interval corresponds. The method includes: receiving a common E-RGCH information message of a cell managed by a second RNC, where the common E-RGCH information message is sent by the second RNC; selecting a candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set for the UE, where the candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set includes a neighboring cell with an available common E-RGCH feature and the neighboring cell is determined according to common E-RGCH information message sent by the second RNC; and sending common E-RGCH configuration parameter information of each cell in the candidate common E-RGCH receiving neighboring cell set to the UE.

The present application provides a method for adjusting resource configuration, a radio network controller, and a base station. The method includes sending configuration information of an uplink common enhanced dedicated transport channel E-DCH resource pool to a base station, where the configuration information of an uplink common E-DCH resource pool includes information of a first resource pool to which a first transmission time interval corresponds and information of a second resource pool to which a second transmission time interval corresponds. Embodiments of the present application provide a method for determining a transmission time interval, a base station, and a radio network controller. A base station receives uplink data sent from a user equipment in an idle state or a cell forward access channel state on an enhanced dedicated transmission channel. The base station determines a transmission time interval (TTI) used by the user equipment for sending the uplink data, and sends the uplink data and a transmission time interval indicator in an enhanced dedicated transmission channel data frame to a radio network controller. The radio network controller acquires the TTI, thereby ensuring that the radio network controller selects and configures an appropriate TTI for the user equipment when the user equipment transits from the Cell_FACH state to the Cell_DCH state.
