A cooling assembly for liquid cooling of a heat-generating component such as a dual in-line memory module (DIMM) in a computer device is disclosed. The cooling assembly includes a bracket holding a micro-pipe assembly. The micro-pipe assembly has a cold manifold, a hot manifold and a series of micro-pipes. The micro-pipes are fluidly coupled between the cold manifold and hot manifold to allow coolant flow between the cold manifold and the hot manifold. The bracket positions the micro-pipe assembly such that micro-pipes are positioned proximate to opposite sides of the heat-generating component. A coolant inlet supplies coolant to the cold manifold and a coolant outlet collecting coolant from the hot manifold.

Arrayed cold plate for DIMMs

A module comprises a tray, a mechanical switch, and a linkage system. The tray is configured to receive a circuit board thereon. The mechanical switch is mounted to the tray and movable between an unsecured position and a secured position. The linkage system is mechanically coupled to the mechanical switch, and moves between an unsecured configuration and a secured configuration in response to the mechanical switch moving between the unsecured position and the secured position. When the module is coupled to a computing device and the linkage system is in the secured configuration, the linkage system engages the computing device, such that the module is locked to the computing device. When the module is coupled to the computing device and the linkage system is in the unsecured configuration, the linkage system is disengaged from the computing device, such that the module is unlocked from the computing device.

Input/output module locking mechanism

An example computing system includes an I/O module that is securable to the computer chassis. The I/O module includes a gear rack. In additional implementations, the computing system includes a fastening assembly which has a fastener configured to receive an external rotational force from a user. In other implementations, the fastening assembly includes a thread mechanism having first and second portions. The first portion of the thread mechanism are rotatably fixed to the fastener. In other implementations, the fastening assembly includes a gear rotatably fixed to the second portion of the thread mechanism, the gear being configured to engage a gear rack coupled to the I/O module. Upon receiving the external rotational force, the thread mechanism also causes (a) the gear to rotate and (b), in turn, linear movement of the gear rack to (c) secure or unsecure the I/O module relative to the computer chassis.

An expansion bay for a computer device for easy insertion and extension of an expansion component is disclosed. The expansion bay has two facing side walls, a bottom panel joining the facing side walls, and a closed end. A front cross member joins the side walls to define a front open end. A pair of springs are located the closed end that force the expansion component away from the closed end. A pair of rotating levers are mounted on the front cross member near each of the side walls. Each of the rotating levers has a pin that engages a groove on the expansion component that is inserted through the open front end. The levers are rotated via the pins engaging the grooves when the expansion component is moved into and out of open front end.

A computing system includes a chassis, a circuit board including at least one electronic component, a mounting bracket secured to the chassis, a support bracket pivotably coupled to the mounting bracket, and a cold plate coupled to the support bracket. The support bracket is pivotable between a first configuration and a second configuration. The cold plate is in contact with the at least one electronic component in the first configuration, and the cold plate is removed from contact with the at least one electronic component in the second configuration.

An expansion bay for a computer system having a rotatable fastening mechanism is disclosed. The expansion bay includes a bay housing having two facing side walls, a front open end and a bottom panel. A front tab and a rear tab extend from the interior of one of the side walls. A tray supporting an expansion component has a guide block with a threaded aperture. The tray may be positioned between an open position and a closed position. The rotatable fastener mechanism moves the tray into and out of the bay housing. A rod is inserted through apertures of the first tab and the second tab, allowing free rotation of the rod. The rod includes a threaded exterior section to rotationally engage the threaded aperture of the guide block. A knob is attached to an end of the rod to allow a user to rotate the rod and move the tray.

Rotatable fastener mechanism for quick release of component tray

A locking mechanism for securing different expansion cards in a slot of a chassis of a computing device is disclosed. The locking mechanism includes a base and a main body. The base is coupled to the chassis and movable between an open position and a closed position. The main body is coupled to the base and movable between a first orientation and a second orientation. When the base is in the closed position and the main body is in the first orientation, a first mating feature of the main body engages an expansion card having a first form factor inserted into the slot. When the base is in the closed position and the main body is in the second orientation, the second mating feature engages an expansion card having a second form factor inserted into the slot of the chassis.

Rotatable locking mechanism for computer expansion cards

A server rack is provided. The server rack includes at least one server component and an asset tag corresponding to the at least one server component. The asset tag includes a support bar positioned such that the at least one server component is removable from the server rack without removing the asset tag, and an actuator connected to the support bar and configured to rotate the support bar between the at least two positions. The asset tag also includes an interface supported by the support bar, wherein the interface is configured to provide an indicator regarding the location and status of the corresponding server component.

The present disclosure provides a latch assembly for securing an electronic component within a computing device. The latch assembly includes a latch, a base, and a cover. The latch includes a first structural member with a first plurality of pins; a second structural member with a second plurality of pins; at least one linking element that connects the first structural member with the second structural member; and a first securing element located at the first structural member. The base includes a receiving space for receiving the latch; a first plurality of slots configured to receive the first plurality of pins; a second plurality of slots configured to receive the second plurality of pins; a plurality of protruding elements; and a second securing element corresponding with the first securing element. The cover is secured to the base at the plurality of protruding elements.

System and method for a solid state drive (SSD) enclosure

A locking mechanism for securing a component card to a main board is provided and includes a base having a top portion with a beveled edge and a coupling portion engageable with the main board. The locking mechanism includes a sliding element slidably, coupled to the base, having an extended protrusion. The sliding element is slidable between a locked and an unlocked position, where the protrusion is displaced towards the base in the unlocked position. The locking mechanism includes a biasing element between the base and the sliding element within a protuberance opposite the protrusion. The biasing element urges the sliding element toward the locked position. The protuberance includes an aperture formed at an end opposite the protrusion and allows a portion of the biasing element to pass through. In the locked position, a bottom surface of the protrusion and a top surface of the base define a receiving space.

Auto-lock mechanism

A device enclosure includes a housing, a shaft, and a front panel. The housing defines a receiving bay configured to slidably receive an electronic device. The shaft is slidably mounted on a sidewall of said housing, includes a rear flange, and is slidable between a retracted position and a deployed position. The front panel is rotatably mounted on the shaft by a hinge and having a fulcrum projection and is rotatable between a closed position that closes a front of the receiving bay and a fully open position which extends away from the housing.

A retractable component tray holder includes: an outer tray having first and second outer tray sidewalls, and a bottom; an inner tray configured to retract into and extend from the outer tray, the inner tray having a first inner tray sidewall and a bottom; a fan chassis configured to receive at least one fan, the fan chassis being adjacent a rear of the inner tray; a bottom support assembly comprising a first bottom support slideably mounted on the bottom of the outer tray, a second bottom support slideably mounted on the first bottom support, and the inner tray being slideably mounted on the second bottom support; and a second side support assembly comprising a side support slideably mounted on the second sidewall, a bracket slideably mounted on the side support, and the fan chassis mounted on the bracket.

Component tray holder with slim side rails

A component carrier with a tray, a slide cage, a level, and a tilting mechanism. The tray has a bottom surface with a groove formed therein. The slide cage is actuatably coupled with the tray and has a receiving space and an undercarriage. The lever is pivotally coupled with the slide cage and has a lower portion for engaging the groove to transition the slide cage between a first position and a second position. The tilting mechanism is coupled with the tray and configured for biasing the slide cage to the second position. In the first position the undercarriage of the slide cage is positioned proximal to the bottom surface of the tray. In the second position a first end portion of the undercarriage of the slide cage is displaced away from the bottom surface and a second end portion is positioned proximal to the bottom surface of the tray.

Component carrier

A hard disk assembly includes a tray, a bracket, and a carrier. The tray includes plural protrusions. The bracket is disposed on the tray for fastening a hard disk device. The bracket includes a bracket body having plural slots thereon, and plural pins disposed on opposite sides of the bracket body. The slots are respectively engaged with the protrusions. The pins are disposed between the bracket and the tray. The carrier is pivotally connected to the tray. The carrier includes two ribs. Each rib has a curved surface for touching and pulling the pins. Therefore the bracket can be slidably moved on the tray along the slots.

Hard disk assembly

A tray assembly configured for carrying a storage device is provided. The tray assembly includes a carrier, a base frame, a handle and a connecting rod. The carrier carries the storage device. The base frame slidably connects with the carrier, allowing the carrier to slide between a first position and a second position relative to the base frame. The base frame includes a locking part and the handle pivots to the base frame. Two ends of the connecting rod respectively pivot to the carrier and the handle. When the handle rotates relative to the base frame and drives the carrier to slide to the first position, the carrier is carried on the base frame and the handle locks up with the locking part. When the handle rotates relative to the base frame and drives the carrier to slide to the second position, the carrier tilts relative to the base frame.
