An antenna structure with wide radiation bandwidth in a reduced physical space includes a metallic housing, a first feed portion, and a second feed portion. The metallic housing includes a metallic side frame and a metallic back board. The metallic side frame defines a slot, and first and second gaps. The metallic side frame between the first gap and one end of the slot forms a first radiation portion. The second gap divides the first radiation portion into first and second radiation sections. The first feed portion feeds current and signal to the first radiation section, and the first radiation section works in a GPS mode and a WIFI 2.4 GHz mode. The second feed portion feeds current and signal to the second radiation section, and the second radiation section works in a WIFI 5 GHz mode.

Antenna structure and wireless communication device using same

An antenna structure includes a metal frame, a feeding portion, and a first ground portion. The metal frame is provided with a slot, a first gap, a second gap, and a third gap. The first gap, the second gap, and the third gap are coupled to the slot, and the slot, the first gap, the second gap, and the third gap divide the metal frame into a radiating portion and a first coupling portion. A portion of the metal frame between the first gap and the third gap form the radiating portion, and a portion of the metal frame between the second gap and the third gap form the first coupling portion. The feeding portion is electrically coupled to the radiating portion to feed an electric signal to the radiating portion. The first ground portion is electrically coupled to the radiating portion to provide ground to the radiating portion.

Antenna structure and wireless communication device

An antenna structure with wide radiation bandwidth in a reduced physical space includes a housing, a connection capacitor, and a feed portion. The housing defines at least one gap and a slot dividing the housing into a first radiation portion, a second radiation portion, and a third radiation. The connection capacitor bridges the first gap, connecting the first radiation portion and the second radiation portion. The feed portion is electrically connected to the first radiation portion. The current flows through the first radiation portion and towards the second radiation portion through the connection capacitor. The current is further coupled to the third radiation portion to generate radiation signals in different frequency bands.

An antenna structure includes a first antenna with a first feed point feeding current, a first radiating portion, a second radiating portion, and a first ground point. The first radiating portion is electrically connected to the first feed point and receives radiation signals in a first frequency band. The second radiating portion is electrically connected to the first feed point and receives and sends radiation signals in a second frequency band. The first ground point is spaced apart from the first feed point and is electrically connected to the second radiating portion.

An antenna structure includes a first radiating body and a second radiating body. The first radiating body includes a feed portion, a first ground portion, a first extending portion, a second extending portion, and a third extending portion. The feed portion is electronically connected to the first ground portion. The first extending portion is electronically connected to the feed portion. The second extending portion is perpendicularly connected between the first extending portion and the third extending portion. The second radiating body includes a second ground portion and a combining portion electronically connected to the second ground portion. The combining portion is spaced from the third extending portion.

A portable wireless communication device includes a connector configured to charge the portable wireless communication device by electronically connecting a power source to the portable wireless communication device. The connector includes a plurality of pins, one of the pins configured to serve as a radiation portion of an antenna to receive/send wireless signals when the connector electronically is uncoupled to the power source.

A wireless local area network adapter includes a housing, a printed circuit board, an antenna, at least one elastic sheet and a plug. The printed circuit board includes a first ground plane. The antenna is electronically connected to the first ground plane. The elastic sheet is positioned on the printed circuit board, and is electronically connected to the first ground plane. The plug includes a shell, at least one part of the shell made of metal, the at least one elastic sheet contacting the metal part of the shell for electronically connecting the shell.

Wireless local area network adapter

A wireless communication device includes a housing and an antenna assembly. The antenna assembly includes a base board, a feed member electronically connecting with the base board to carry an electrical current, and a radio member including a first radio portion, the first radio portion defining a first slot. The radiator couples with the feed member, inducing an electrical current in the first radio portion. The radio member is electronically connected to the base board through the metal housing, enabling the induced electrical current to flow through the first radio portion, the metal housing, and the base board to form a current loop. The induced electrical current flows through the first slot to excite a first resonance mode, enabling the antenna assembly to receive/transmit a first wireless signal.

Antenna assembly and wireless communication device employing same

A wireless communication device includes a metal housing, a baseboard, and a current feed member electronically connected to the baseboard to obtain an electrical current from the baseboard. The housing defines a first notch and a second notch communicating with the first notch. The housing couples with the current feed member, such that the first notch and the second notch both induce the electrical current to excite two resonance modes, the two resonance modes enabling the wireless communication device to receive and transmit first wireless signals and second wireless signals having different central frequencies.
