A display device includes at least one display module and a backlight module. The display module includes display units and N driving chips. The N driving chips are arranged along a first direction and electrically connected to the display units. The display units are connected and arranged in N rows in the first direction and M columns in a second direction. N and M are respectively greater than or equal to 1. The backlight module includes a light bar assembly adapted to be disposed below a column of the M columns of the display units farthest from the driving chips, and a length of the light bar assembly corresponds to that of the display units along the first direction. The light bar assembly includes at least one first light bar unit. A length of each first light bar unit is X times the length of each display unit along the first direction, and X is greater than or equal to 1.

Display device

A display device includes a flexible display panel, a light module and an optical film. The flexible display panel has a first axis and curving about the first axis as an axis of curvature. The light module is located on one side of the flexible display panel. The optical film is located between the flexible display panel and the light module. The optical film includes a substrate and multiple first strip microstructures. The substrate has a first side and a second side that are opposite to each other. The first side faces the light module while the second side faces the flexible display panel. The first strip microstructures are located on the first side of the substrate, and the first strip microstructures extend along a second axis.

A frame formed by cutting and bending a plate base is provided. The maximum thickness of the frame is T, the thickness of the plate base is t, and 1.5t&#x2266;T&#x2266;2.5t. The frame includes a first plate element, a second plate element, and a bending portion. The second plate element is directly contacted to the first plate element, and the first plate element is substantially parallel to the second plate element. The bending portion is connected between the first plate element and the second plate element. A backlight module using the above-mentioned frame and a liquid crystal display (LCD) module using the backlight module are also provided.

Frame, backlight module and liquid crystal display module and method of fabricating the frame thereof

A backlight module is disclosed, which includes plural light sources, a light guide plate, a light scattering device, a high-reflectance microstructure formed on the light guide plate, and a high-diffusion microstructure formed on the light guide plate. The light guide plate has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The first surface faces the light sources. The light scattering device is disposed between the light sources and the light guide plate. The high-reflectance microstructure is formed on the second surface. The high-diffusion microstructure is formed on or indented inwardly from the first surface.

Backlight module

A header region protection apparatus of an optical storage medium. The apparatus comprises an encoder, a header location generator, and a header protector. The encoder converts user data to an EFM signal and a write enable signal according to a write clock. The header location generator generates a header location signal. The header protector is coupled to the encoder and the header location generator and generates a header protect write enable signal according to the write enable signal and the header location signal.

Header region protection apparatus and method of optical storage medium

A system controlling recording on an optical disc is provided. A first counter performs a bit count according to provided channel bit clock signals. A second counter performs a sector count responsive to the bit count obtained by the first counter. The Land/Groove switch predicts machine uses the result of bit count and sector count to predict the land/groove switch point. The processor uses the physical ID (PID) to determine the track type of a sector at which a recording operation initiates. The power controller determines a recording power for the recording operation according to the Land/Groove switch predict machine.

Systems and methods for recording optical information

A recording method for an optical disk drive is implemented as follows. First, at least one of the level of the focusing error signal, the level of the tracking error signal, a wobble synchronization pattern loss, the error rate of demodulating a wobble signal and the frequency of buffer under-run occurrence is detected. If at least one detected value exceeds the preset value, the recording will be ceased. Then, the rotation speed of the optical disk drive is decreased, and the recording is resumed with the decreased rotation speed.

Recording method and apparatus for optical disk drive

A recording method for an optical disk drive is implemented as follows. First, at least one of the level of the focusing error signal, the level of the tracking error signal, a wobble synchronization pattern loss, the error rate of demodulating a wobble signal, the frequency of buffer under-run occurrence, the temperature of the drive, the wobble jitter and the level of write power is detected. If at least one detected value exceeds the preset value, the recording will be ceased. Then, the rotation speed of the optical disk drive is decreased, and the recording is resumed with the decreased rotation speed. If at least one of the temperature of the drive, the wobble jitter and the estimated write power exceeds the reset value before recording starts, the rotation speed of the optical disk drive is decreased before recording.

Disclosed is a cushion structure, which includes a box, a holding structure and a first cushion therein. The first cushion includes a bearing part, two buffer parts and two supporting parts. The buffer parts are joined with two sides of the bearing part to form a first angle and a second angle. The supporting parts are joined with opposite sides to the sides of the buffer parts joined with the buffer parts to form a third angle and a fourth angle. The cushion structure further includes a second cushion disposed parallel to the first cushion between the box and the holding structure. Alternatively, the second cushion can be disposed opposite to or superimposed over the first cushion between the first cushion and the holding structure. Both the first and second cushions can be formed as one-piece.

Cushion structure

The present invention provides a focus position adjustment method for adjusting a focus position by which an optical storage device reads an optical storage medium. The optical storage medium comprises a header and a recording area. The optical storage device generates a focus error signal as reading the medium and utilizes the focus error signal to control the focus of the optical pickup head. After the optical storage device finishes tracking closed loop, the method is performed according to the deviation value between the levels of focus error signals of the header and the recording area to adjust the focus position to make the deviation value fall in a predetermined range. The system comprises a deviation value detection module for determining the deviation value and a focus control module for adjusting the focus position.

Method of focus position adjustment by controlling a deviation value and system thereof

An optical disc apparatus includes a memory, a control circuit, a motor, a spindle, and a pickup head. When determining the type of optical disc, the optical disc apparatus moves a focusing lens at a constant velocity. A first duration is measured that indicates how much time it takes for the moving focal point of a laser shining through the focusing lens to pass through a first layer of the optical disc. A second duration is also measured that indicates how much time it takes for the moving focal point to move from the first layer to a second layer of the optical disc. A ratio of the second duration to the first duration indicates optical disc type.
