A holding apparatus includes a base, a clamp portion protruding from the base, a fixed clamper, and a rotatable damper. The rotatable clamper includes a fixed arm and two resisting arms extending from the fixed arm toward the fixed damper. An adjustment portion includes an angle adjusting member and a locking member. The angle adjusting member includes a base body, a depressible member protruding from the base body, two side arms protruding from opposite ends of the base body, and two resisting portions protruding from the side arms. The two resisting portions resist on the two second resisting arms. The angle adjusting member includes a hook extending from a second bottom of the base body. The locking member includes a main body and at least one locking protrusion protruding from the main body. Each locking protrusion is engagable with the hook to prevent the rotatable clamper from rotating.

Holding apparatus and external keyboard using the same

An electronic device includes a frame defining a slot and a first through hole, a slot cover moveably received in the slot, a latching member rotateably connected to the frame, and a torsion spring. The latching member includes a first arm and a second arm protruding therefrom and extending in opposite directions. When the latching member is at a locking position, the first arm faces the first through hole, and the second arm engages an elastic hook to retain the cover in the slot. The spring includes a first arm fixed to the first arm and a second arm fixed to the frame. The latching member is driven to rotate when the first arm is pushed by an elongated object passing through the first through hole, causing the second arm push the elastic hook to be deformed, thereby allowing the second arm to disengage from the elastic hook.

Electronic device with slot cover ejection mechanism

An electronic device paired with an infrared remote control, includes a display screen having a display area, at least one infrared emitter, at least one infrared receiver, a prism and a processing unit. A prism is adjacent to the at least one infrared receiver for converging the infrared rays from the at least one infrared emitter and the infrared remote control to the at least one IR receiver. A processing unit is for activating and then deactivating the infrared emitters one after another, identifying operations of a user on the display area by analyzing the interception of the infrared rays emitted from each of the infrared emitters, identifying operations of a user according to the infrared signals from the infrared remote control and executing corresponding functions associated with the operations of the user.

A push button for mounting on a shell includes a button body depressibly engaged in a through hole defined in the shell, a flexible circuit board, a rigid plate attaching to the shell and a conductive spring tab. The flexible circuit board is arranged between the a button body and the rigid plate. The flexible circuit board is brought into contact with the rigid plate. The flexible circuit board is electrically connected to a connector and includes a pair of normally-open contacts. The conductive spring tab is fixed to the flexible circuit board and aligned with the button body. The conductive spring tab is deformable. The button body is configured for being manually depressed so as to urge the conductive spring tab to deform and contact the pair of normally-open contacts, thereby generating a signal transmittable through the flexible circuit board to the connector.

An electromagnetic stylus includes a body, a core and an induction coil. The body includes a first shell and a second shell telescopically sleeved on the first shell. The core is received in and has a nib end extending out of the first shell. The induction coil is sleeved on one end of the core and is received in the first shell. The first shell is made of material without electromagnetic wave shielding capability. The second shell is made of material with electromagnetic wave shielding capability. The second shell is configured to slide along the first shell between two positions, to shield or not to shield part of the induction coil.

Electromagnetic stylus with auto-switching

A male connector is capable of magnetically attracting a female connector. The female connector includes a first end surface and a second end surface. The male connector includes a first telescoping pin and a second telescoping pin. The first telescoping pin and the second telescoping pin are capable of contacting the first end surface and the second end surface, to make an electrical connection between the male connector and the female connector.

An electronic device includes a main body, a stylus and a stylus fixing assembly fixed on the main body for seating the stylus. The stylus fixing assembly includes a cover, a fixing element fixed on the cover, a guide element, a rotation element, a clasping element rotatably fixed on the cover, a first spring and a second spring. The fixing element includes three guide grooves and a convex stage disposed on the inner wall therein. The guide element includes several first teeth and three first guide ribs. The rotation element includes a cylindrical portion, a resisting portion, several second teeth and three second guide ribs. Two ends of the first spring are fixed on the sidewall of the cover and the resisting portion separately. Two ends of the second spring are connected with the cover and the clasping element.

A cover includes an upper cover, a lower cover, a fixing member fixed to the lower cover, and a sliding member positioned between the lower cover and the fixing member. The lower cover defines a notch. The sliding member includes at least one latching portion and a toggle that is slidably received in the notch. The upper cover defines at least one opening. The at least one latching portion is slidably received in the at least one opening correspondingly to connect the upper cover to the lower cover.

A combination input unit comprises a printed circuit board, a press key, a retaining bracket, a light transmissive rotary dial, and a housing. The printed circuit board accommodates an encoder circuit, a plurality of contacts, and a plurality of light sources. The press key is disposed above the contacts, and comprises a flange thereof. The retaining bracket is fitted over the press key and connects the press key to the printed circuit board. The light transmissive rotary dial is rotatably fitted over the press key. The rotary dial is positioned above the encoder circuit, comprises at least one elastic piece for resiliently pressing the encoder circuit, and a reflective surface. Light emitted by the light sources are reflected by the reflective surface, thus to illuminate the whole rotary dial. The housing receives the press key, the rotary dial, and the printed circuit board.

Combination input unit

A device support includes a base, a first supporting frame, and a second supporting frame. One end of the first supporting frame is rotatably connected to the base, and an opposite end of the first supporting frame is rotatably connected to one end of the second supporting frame. A sliding plate is rotatably connected to an opposite end of the second supporting frame, and the sliding plate is slidable on the base, and the sliding plate and the base are magnetically attached to each other.

A fixing apparatus for fixing a battery in an electronic device is provided. The fixing apparatus includes a circuit board, a support frame, and a cover. The circuit board defines an opening therein. The support frame is received in the opening and is configured for receiving the battery. The cover defines at least one pair of latching members therein. Wherein the at least one pair of latching member latches onto the circuit board to fix the battery between the support frame and the cover.

Fixing apparatus for fixing battery

An electronic device includes a housing defining a slot, a card socket, a slot cover moveably received in the slot, and an elastic piece. The card socket is capable of ejecting an electronic card out when pressed. The cover defines a through hole and an elastic hook engaging the slot to retain the cover in the slot. The elastic piece includes a base facing the first through hole, and a pair of arms connected to opposite ends of the base and abutting against the cover. The elastic piece is urged to be deformed to push the cover when the base is pushed by an object passing through the through hole, causing the hook to disengage from the slot. Then the base pushes the card to move inwardly, causing the card socket to push the card and the cover to move out of the slot in union.

An electronic device includes a main body defining an opening, and a key mechanism secured in the opening. The key mechanism includes a fixing mechanism, a circuit board and a key. The fixing mechanism includes a tab and a support. The tab protrudes from a sidewall of the opening. The support includes an elastic supporting rib connected to the tab. The circuit board is fixed on the support and includes a switch. The key is rotatably connected to the fixing mechanism actuates the switch to generate an input signal. The supporting rib applies a restoring force to the key.

An electronic device includes a frame defining a slot and a through hole, a slot cover moveably received in the slot, an elastic piece rotatably connected to the frame, and a torsion spring. The elastic piece includes a main body, a side arm and an extended tab defined on opposite ends of the main body. When the elastic piece is at a normal position, the side arm faces the first through hole, and the tab faces the slot. The torsion spring includes a first arm fixed to the frame and a second arm fixed to the elastic piece. The elastic piece is rotatable by insertion of an elongated object into through the through hole to push the side arm, thereby causing the tab to push the slot cover to be deformed until the hook disengages from the slot.

A wireless telephone includes a support and a base unit supported by the support. The support includes an antenna and defines a number of through holes. The antenna includes a number of electrically conductive pins that are aligned with the through holes. The base unit includes a number of protruding, conductive terminals that respectively pass through the through holes and contact the electrically conductive pins to allow signals to be transmitted through the antenna.
