An inkjet recording device may include a plurality of pressure-generating chambers compartmented by walls including electromechanical conversion devices for generating a pressure; nozzles connected to the pressure-generating chambers; an ink supply portion; and a drive pulse generation device for driving said electromechanical conversion devices. The pressure-generating chambers may be separated into a plurality of groups. The pressure-generating chambers in each group may be driven in series so as to eject ink drops from said nozzles.

An inkjet recording device for ejecting ink onto a recording medium to form an image on the recording medium while a recording head is moved with relative movement to the recording medium in a direction along an upper surface of the recording medium, including: a recording head for ejecting ink onto a recording medium; a heating device for heating the recording medium; a conveyance device for conveying the recording medium having been heated by the heating device to under the recording head; and a cooling device which is provided in a state of insulation from the recording head, and has a cooling surface which is cooled to a temperature lower than a temperature of a nozzle surface of the recording head, wherein the cooling surface and the nozzle surface of the recording head are disposed along a direction of the relative movement and to face the recording medium.

An ink-jet ink comprising Component (A), Component (B), and Component (C), wherein a content of Component (A) is 20-60% by weight, a content of Component (B) is 10-50% by weight, and when the content of Component (A) is 100% by weight, the total content ratio of a class of glycol, a class of polyol, and glycerin is 0-20% by weight, and a surface tension of the ink-jet ink is 18-27 mN/m; wherein Component (A) is 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazolidinone or &#x3b3;-butyrolactone, Component (B) is water, and Component (C) is a pigment.
