A system includes a dishwasher having a dish rack to receive dishes. An image capturing device captures a 2D image of the dish rack of the dishwasher and the dishes, and an image processing device determines a 3D image based on the captured 2D image and additionally captured metadata of the captured 2D image. A control device executes a wash program as a function of the determined 3D image.

A method for controlling a home appliance depending on a load includes taking a load image with an appliance camera, sending the image from the appliance to the server, processing the image on the server, and generating a processing result. Control data is determined on the server for controlling the appliance based on the result and is then sent to the appliance and/or the processing result is sent to the appliance enabling the appliance to determine data for controlling the appliance based on the processing result. The control data and/or the processing result is received from the server on the appliance and based thereon appliance working programs are controlled. A system includes a dishwasher including a receptacle for an item to be washed, and a control device for carrying out a washing program, which can be parameterized by a number of different washing program parameters. An image-capturing device captures an image of the receptacle and an image analysis unit classifies the item to be washed in the receptacle in dependence on the captured image of the receptacle and to output a classification result to the control device. The control device is designed to parameterize the washing program depending on the classification result.

A system includes a dishwasher having a receptacle for items to be washed, an image capturing facility configured to capture an image of the receptacle of the dishwasher for items to be washed, and an image processing facility configured to determine in dependence upon the captured image a map of an arrangement of the items to be washed. The map includes a division of the receptacle into a number of regions, with each region having a predetermined arrangement of items to be washed from a number of predetermined arrangements of items to be washed. An allocation unit determines a cleaning matrix including an allocation of a treatment specification to each of the regions in the map, and outputs the cleaning matrix. A control apparatus executes a wash program based on the cleaning matrix.

A dishwasher includes a controller for executing a washing program for washing a dirty item to be washed, and a receiving unit for receiving a sensor signal indicative of a dirt type adhering to the dirty item to be washed from a plurality of dirt types, with each of the dirt types being determined by a dirt parameter matrix, in which each position is assigned to a dirt parameter. A determining unit determines the dirt type adhering to the dirty item to be washed as a function of the received sensor signal, with the controller executing the washing program as a function of the determined dirt type.

A system includes a dishwasher including a receptacle for items to be washed, a control apparatus configured to execute a wash program in dependence upon a loading of the receptacle with items to be washed and a camera configured to capture an image of at least one partial region of the receptacle in dependence upon a pull-out position of the receptacle. The captured image is stored by the control apparatus in dependence upon the pull-out position in a memory location of a number of memory locations, which memory location is assigned to the pull-out position, with each of the number of memory locations being assigned a set of pull-out positions. An image analysis unit determines the loading of the receptacle in dependence upon images that are stored in the memory locations.
