Methods, systems, devices, are described for displaying a document. In one view, a first substantially rectangular shape containing a current page of the document may be displayed adjacent to a second substantially rectangular shape containing a number of pages other than the current page. A rotational motion input may be received at the device, and the first and second shapes may be updated based on a new current page identified by the rotational motion input. In another view, a number of curved shapes may be displayed in a nested arrangement defined by a spiral, each of the curved shapes being associated with a portion of the document. A current page may be stored, and a rotational motion input may be received. The current page may be updated according to at least an end point of the received rotational motion input.

Electronic document display

The disclosure is directed to recording voice data transmissions between mobile communication devices. An embodiment of the disclosure receives, at a first mobile communication device, an indication that a subsequent voice transmission segment may or may not be recorded by at least one other mobile communication device, and transmits, from the first mobile communication device, an indication to said at least one other mobile communication device that the subsequent voice transmission segment may or may not be recorded. Another embodiment receives an indication from at least one other mobile communication device that a subsequent voice transmission segment may or may not be recorded by said mobile communication device, and if the received indication indicates that the subsequent voice transmission segment may be recorded, records at least a portion of the subsequent voice transmission segment, and stores the recorded portion in a memory associated with said mobile communication device.

System and method for permitting recordation of voice transmissions among group members of a communication group of wireless communication devices

An embodiment is directed to displaying information to a user of a communications device. The communications device receives a query including a social parameter, a temporal parameter and a spatial parameter relative to the user that are indicative of a desired visual representation of a set of data objects. The communications device determines degrees to which the social, temporal and spatial parameters of the query are related to each of the set of data objects in social, temporal and spatial dimensions, respectively. The communications device displaying a first visual representation of at least a portion of the set of data objects to the user based on whether the determined degrees of relation in the social dimension, temporal dimension and spatial dimension satisfy the respective parameters of the query.

Integrated display and management of data objects based on social, temporal and spatial parameters

In an embodiment, a client device receives a query that specifies social, temporal and spatial parameters relative to a set of users (e.g., a source user or source user group). The client device determines degrees to which the specified parameters are related to a group of target users in social, temporal and spatial dimensions. The client device also determines an expected availability of one or more target users for interaction (e.g., interaction via particular types of communication session types, such as voice, video, text, etc.). The client device performs a processing function on at least one data object associated with the group of target users based on (i) whether the determined degrees of relation satisfy the specified parameters of the query, and (ii) the expected availability of the one or more target users in the group of target users.

A system, method, and computer readable product for allowing a member of a mobile communications group, such as a push-to-talk (PTT) group, to receive indications from at least one other mobile communication device that a current conversation or talk spurt may be recorded. The member may further record or receive the recorded conversation or talk spurt, and store the recorded conversation or spurt in a local memory for later retrieval or automatic playback.
