A signal processing device and method for driving one or more light emitting diodes ('LEDs') of a video screen, display panel, module or other component. The signal processing device and method can control one or more RGB LEDs and/or white LEDs to produce light with increased uniformity and brightness at a reduced cost and having reduced power consumption. The signal processing device and method can generate a matrix brightness value based on one or more input LED driving signals; generate a complementary brightness value based on the one or more input LED driving signals; generate an LED driving signal based on the matrix brightness value and complementary brightness value; and delaying the one or more input LED driving signals generate one or more delayed LED driving signals.

Pixel combination of full color LED and white LED for use in LED video displays and signages

A system and method for the automatic color/brightness adjustment of a video display screen, panel, module or other display component comprising light emitting diodes ('LEDs'). The system and method incorporate a reference LED and a light sensor on each module and use decay information sensed from each reference LED to determine the amount of decay experienced by the display LEDs in the modules. Each module will be adjusted to have one uniform color/brightness level based on the decay information sensed from each reference LED.

A system and method for color matching/chromaticity adjustment for a video screen, display panel, module or other component that comprises different batches of light emitting diodes ('LEDs'). The system and method do not alter the panel/module's RGB gain when adjusting saturation, luminance and hue. This way, the panels and modules can achieve a desired/targeted white balance. As such, different batches of LEDs can be set to the same RGB ratios to achieve proper color matching. Thus, the system and method can mix different batches of LEDs in the same video screen or wall, yet achieve uniformity across the screen/wall.

Chromaticity adjustment for LED video screens

A variable space shutter includes: a first frame having vertically spaced slats forming vertical openings; a second frame having a horizontal indented channel, the second frame being affixed to the first frame around a periphery of the first frame; and a shutter part having vertically spaced slats forming vertical openings, the shutter part being sandwiched between the first and second frames such that a portion of the shutter part rests within the horizontal indented channel to permit selective sliding movement of the shutter within the channel between a first position, wherein the vertical openings of the first frame line up with the vertical openings of the shutter part, to permit light to pass through the variable space shutter, and a second position, wherein the vertical openings of the first frame line up with the vertical slats of the shutter part, to block light from passing through the variable space shutter.
