Disclosed are a system and method for controlling a seat for a vehicle. In particular, the system includes a seat positioned in a vehicle, a motor embedded in the seat and configured to adjust an operation of the seat, a Hall sensor configured to sense an operation of the motor, and a controller configured to measure a pulse width according to the operation of the motor by means of the Hall sensor and determine whether jamming occurs during the operation of the seat based on the measured pulse width.

A seat control apparatus includes a first driving part, a second driving part and a controller. The apparatus is configured to receive a user input on a walk-in mode through an input part, and based on the received user input, the apparatus controls a slide location of a seat to a walk-in location area corresponding to the walk-in mode by using the first driving part, and controls a reclining angle of the seat to a walk-in angle area corresponding to the walk-in mode by using the second driving part. A polyurethane filter foam is provided herein. The polyurethane filter foam may have improved permeability by having both a small cell and a large cell in a range for maximizing the opening property of the foam. In some instance, this is achieved by specifically configuring and foaming a composition of polyether polyol and methylene diphenyl diisocyanate (MDI) to manufacture the polyurethane foam.
