An additive manufacturing method for a 3D object is provided and includes (a) providing a 3D digital model of the 3D object; (b) dividing the 3D digital model into repeat arrangement of at least one type of polyhedral 3D units and an X-Y plane is an acute angle or an obtuse angle; (c) cutting the 3D digital model along a Z-axis into a plurality of 2D slices; (d) defining a scanning path covering one of the 2D slices; (e) providing an energy beam to a material on a working plane along the scanning path to form a construction layer corresponding to the one of the 2D slices; and (f) repeating the steps (d) and (e) to build up the 3D object by adding a plurality of construction layers in sequence.

Additive manufacturing method for three-dimensional object

This disclosure provides a composite beam generator and a method of performing powder melting or sintering in additive manufacturing process using the same. The composite beam generator comprises: a beam splitter for splitting a beam into a first directed beam and a second directed beam; a beam shaper for shaping a transverse energy distribution profile of the second directed beam to non-circular; at least one beam delivery unit for guiding the first directed beam or the second directed beam; and a beam combiner for receiving the first directed beam and the second directed beam, and respectively generating a first output beam and a second output beam, and combining them into the composite beam.

Composite beam generator and powder melting or sintering method using the same

A powder shaping method comprises: providing a powder on a target surface; providing a laser beam to illuminate the powder so as to form a pre-treated powder; and providing an energy beam to illuminate the pre-treated powder for enabling a shaping process. In addition, a powder shaping apparatus comprises a base, a target surface, a powder supply unit and an energy beam source system. The target surface is disposed on the base and can be fixed or moved on the base. The powder supply unit provides a powder on the target surface. The energy beam source system has a laser source and an energy source, the laser source provides a laser beam to illuminate the powder to form a pre-treated powder, and the energy source provides an energy beam to further illuminate the pre-treated powder to make a shaping process.

Powder shaping method and apparatus thereof

A dual pulsed light generation apparatus including a polarization beam splitter (PBS), a first polarization reflector, and a second polarization reflector is provided. The PBS has a first plane, a second plane, and a dividing interface located between the first plane and the second plane. The PBS is located in the transmission path of an incident pulsed light and used for dividing the incident pulsed light into a first polarization pulsed light reflected by the dividing interface and a second polarization pulsed light passing through the dividing interface. The first polarization reflector is disposed opposite to the first plane and transforms the first polarization pulsed light into a third polarization pulsed light passing through the dividing interface. The first polarization reflector is disposed opposite to the second plane.

Dual pulsed light generation apparatus and method for dual pulsed lights generation thereof

A beam shaper including a reflection device and a plurality of reflectors. The reflection device is disposed on a transmission path of an incident light beam and has a plurality of reflection surfaces capable of reflecting the incident light beam. The reflection surfaces are capable of splitting the incident light beam into a plurality of reflected light beams. The reflectors are separately disposed on transmission paths of the reflected light beams. The reflectors are capable of reflecting the reflected light beams, so that a shaped light spot is formed by superimposing light spots of the reflected light beams. The reflection device is disposed between the shaped light spot and the reflectors.
