A method of using a tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding flux for super duplex stainless steel (SDSS) is used to solve the problems of low weld depth/width ratio, low corrosion resistance, and arc blow existing in the conventional TIG welding flux for duplex stainless steel. The TIG welding flux for SDSS includes 20-30 wt % of silicon dioxide (SiO), 20-25 wt % of titanium dioxide (TiO), 15-20 wt % of vanadium dioxide (VO), 10-15 wt % of molybdenum trioxide (MoO), 10-15 wt % of zirconium diboride (ZrB), 5-10 wt % of aluminum nitride (AlN), 5-10 wt % of manganese carbonate (MnCO) and 5-10 wt % of nickel carbonate (NiCO).

Method of using TIG welding flux for super duplex stainless steel

A TIG welding flux for chromium-molybdenum steel is used to form a weld bead with high mechanical strength and high fracture toughness between two chromium-molybdenum steel workpieces. The TIG welding flux for chromium-molybdenum steel includes 30-44 wt % of silicon dioxide (SiO), 20-35 wt % of manganese(IV) oxide (MnO), 14-24 wt % of chromium(III) oxide (CrO), 9-19 wt % of nickel(III) oxide (NiO), 7-14 wt % of molybdenum trioxide (MoO) and 5-10 wt % of calcium fluoride (CaF).

TIG welding flux for chromium-molybdenum steel and method for using the same

A TIG welding flux for dissimilar steels is used to solve the problem that the conventional friction stir welding procedure for butt-joint welding a stainless steel workpiece and a carbon steel workpiece cannot be used on site, as well as the problem that the increased operating time and manufacturing cost due to forming bevel faces on both the stainless steel workpiece and the carbon steel workpiece. The TIG welding flux for dissimilar steels includes 25-35 wt % of silicon dioxide (SiO), 20-30 wt % of cobalt (II, III) oxide (CoO), 15-20 wt % of manganese (II, III) oxide (MnO), 10-15 wt % of nickel (III) oxide (NiO), 7-12 wt % of molybdenum trioxide (MoO), 6-11 wt % of manganese (II) carbonate (MnCO), 5-10 wt % of nickel (II) carbonate (NiCO), and 2-4 wt % of aluminum fluoride (AlF).

TIG welding flux for dissimilar steels

A welding flux for duplex stainless steel is used to solve the problem of insufficient penetration depth of a weld formed between two jointed workpieces when workpieces with a thickness above 3 mm is joined by TIG welding. The welding flux for duplex stainless steel includes 25-35 wt % of SiO, 20-25 wt % of CrO, 10-20 wt % of MoO, 10-15 wt % of NiO, 5-10 wt % of FeO, 5-10 wt % of CoO, 5-10 wt % of MnOand 3-5 wt % of CuO.

Welding flux for duplex stainless steel

The invention provides an ignition flux for arc stud welding, including 30-55 wt % SiO, 30-55 wt % NiO, 10-35 wt % AlF, and 5-25 wt % NiF, or including 30-55 wt % TiO, 30-55 wt % NiO, 10-35 wt % AlF, and 5-25 wt % NiF. As such, the electric arc can be easily created and smoothly formed. The invention further provides an arc stud welding method utilizing such ignition flux. As such, the fastener and the metal workpiece can be tightly connected together without the need of inserting an ignition tip into the welding portion of a fastener.

The present disclosure provides a welding flux used for austenitic stainless steel, which includes 20-40 wt. % SiC, 20-30 wt. % SiO, 15-25 wt. % MoO, 2-15 wt. % TiO, 2-10 wt. % NiO, and 1-5 wt. % MgO. As such, the welding flux forms a soundness weld with high D/W ratio and surface hardness.

Welding flux used for austenitic stainless steel

A welding activated flux for structural alloy steels including 40-50 wt % of SiO, 25-30 wt % of MoO, 5-10 wt % of TiOand 10-20 wt % of CrOis disclosed. Accordingly, with the use of the welding activated flux, the depth of the weld is significantly increased, thereby enhancing the mechanical strength of the weldment and reducing the distortion of the weldment.

A local resistance heating device, with a controlled atmosphere, includes two end members and a mid member. The two end members are respectively connected with an anode pole and a cathode pole. Each end member has an air channel. The air channel of one of the end members is adapted to connect with an output terminal of a gas supplier, and the air channel of the other one of the end members is adapted to connect with a sucking terminal of the gas supplier. The mid member is arranged between the two end members. The two end members and the mid member jointly define a heating room communicating with the air channels of the two end members.

A silver-containing antiseptic welding flux for stainless steel includes 0.1-0.5 wt % of silver, 30-54 wt % of silicon dioxide, 20-40 wt % of titanium dioxide, 10-20 wt % of chromium oxide, 5-20 wt % of molybdenum oxide, 5-10 wt % of molybdenum sulfide, and 5-10 wt % of halide.

A welding flux for stainless steel includes 30-55 wt % of silicon dioxide, 20-40 wt % of titanium dioxide, 10-20 wt % of chromium oxide, 5-20 wt % of molybdenum oxide, 5-10 wt % of molybdenum sulfide, and 5-10 wt % of halide.

An activating flux for welding stainless steel includes: from 25 to 40 weight percent of titanium dioxide (TiO); from 25 to 30 weight percent of chromium oxide (CrO); from 10 to 30 weight percent of silicon dioxide (SiO); from 10 to 15 weight percent of molybdenum disulphide (MoS); and from 5 to 15 weight percent of molybdenum trioxide (MoO), which are active additive materials. A welding rod or wire includes a welding material and an activating flux. The activating flux layer is provided on or in the welding rod or wire and is formed as an outer layer or a core portion of the welding rod or wire.
