An illumination system including an excitation light source array, a multi-region dichroic device, a color sequence generator, and a wavelength converter is provided. The excitation light source array emits excitation light beams. The multi-region dichroic device has first dichroic regions and non-dichroic regions that are alternately arranged in stripe shapes. The first dichroic regions are respectively disposed on transmission paths of the excitation light beams. The excitation light beams from the excitation light source array are transmitted to the color sequence generator through the first dichroic regions of the multi-region dichroic device, and at least one second dichroic region of the color sequence generator respectively reflects the excitation light beams to the non-dichroic regions of the multi-region dichroic device. The excitation light beams from the color sequence generator are transmitted to the wavelength converter through the non-dichroic regions of the multi-region dichroic device. A projection apparatus is also provided.

Illumination system and projection apparatus

An illumination system and a projection device having good uniformity are provided. The illumination system includes at least one light source, a depolarizing element, and a light homogenizing element. The at least one light source is configured to provide multiple beams. The depolarizing element is disposed on a transmission path of the beams. The depolarizing element includes a first optical element, which is wedge-shaped and has a first optical axis. A direction of any one of the beams incident onto the first optical element is parallel to the first optical axis. The beams respectively become multiple linearly polarized beams with different polarization directions after passing through the first optical element. The light homogenizing element is configured to allow the linearly polarized beams to pass through to form an illumination beam. The depolarizing element is located between the at least one light source and the light homogenizing element.

Illumination system and projection device

An illumination system, including a light source module, a phosphor wheel, a light recycling element, and a light uniformizing element, is provided. The light source module emits an excitation light beam. The phosphor wheel includes a phosphor region. At a second timing, the other part of the excitation light beam transmitted to the phosphor region forms an unconverted light beam and is transmitted to the light recycling element, and is reflected by the light recycling element to form a recycled light beam. A part of the recycled light beam is converted into a second converted light beam. A first converted light beam and the second converted light beam are transmitted to the light uniformizing element through a same path, so that the illumination system outputs second light in the illumination light beam. A projection apparatus is also provided.

An illumination system, including an excitation light source, a beam splitting filter device, and a wavelength conversion element, is provided. The excitation light source is configured to emit an excitation beam. The beam splitting filter device includes a light penetration region and a beam splitting filter region. The excitation beam penetrates the light penetration region to form a first beam. The excitation beam is reflected by the beam splitting filter region. The wavelength conversion element is disposed on a transmission path of the excitation beam coming from the beam splitting filter region. The wavelength conversion element is configured to convert the excitation beam coming from the beam splitting filter region to a conversion beam and transmit the conversion beam back to the beam splitting filter region, and the conversion beam at least partially penetrates the beam splitting filter region to form a second beam. A projection device is also provided.

An illumination system includes a first light source, a wavelength conversion device, a first light-splitting element, a light-filtering device, and a light-homogenizing element. The first light source provides a first light beam. The wavelength conversion device includes a single wavelength conversion material configured to convert the first light beam into a conversion light beam. The first light-splitting element is disposed on transmission paths of the first light beam and the conversion light beam. The light-filtering device is disposed on the transmission paths of the first light beam and the conversion light beam. The light-homogenizing element is disposed on the transmission paths of the first light beam and the conversion light beam. When the first light beam is transmitted to the light-homogenizing element, the first light beam is not incident on the wavelength conversion device. A projection apparatus including the illumination system is also provided.

An illumination system includes an excitation light source module, a light splitting and combining module, a filter module, and a wavelength conversion module. The excitation light source module provides an excitation beam. The light splitting and combining module is disposed on a transmission path of the excitation beam. The excitation beam includes a first and a second excitation beam which are different from each other in polarization state or wavelength range. The filter module is disposed on the transmission path of the excitation beam. The filter module includes a light passing area configured to allow the excitation beam to pass there-through and a light filtering area. The wavelength conversion module is disposed on the transmission path of the excitation beam reflected by the light filtering area and configured to convert the reflected excitation beam into a conversion beam. A projection apparatus including the above illumination system is also provided.

A projector and its illumination system and wavelength conversion device are provided. The wavelength conversion device includes a substrate, a wavelength converting portion, and a wavelength maintaining portion. The substrate has a rotation axis. The wavelength converting portion surrounds the rotation axis and is adapted to receive the first beam and convert a first portion of the first beam into a second beam. The wavelength maintaining portion surrounds the rotation axis and is adapted to receive the first beam and guide a second portion of the first beam. A ratio of the first portion of the first beam with respect to the first beam is greater than a ratio of the second portion of the first beam with respect to the first beam. The illumination system and the wavelength conversion device in the projector reduce the number of optical elements, thereby reducing the cost and the size of the projector.

Projector, illumination system, and wavelength conversion device

A light source module includes a solid-state light source and a wavelength conversion wheel. The solid-state light source provides a light beam. The wavelength conversion wheel has a wavelength conversion region and a penetration region. The wavelength conversion region converts the light beam to generate a conversion beam. A substrate of the wavelength conversion wheel includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The wavelength conversion region includes a first conversion region and a second conversion region. The first and the second conversion regions are respectively located on the first and the second surfaces. The penetration region is connected to the first and the second surfaces. The wavelength conversion region and the penetration region are symmetrically disposed by using a symmetry point of the substrate as a reference point. A projection apparatus including the light source module is disclosed.

Light source module and projection apparatus

An illumination system including an excitation light source module configured to emit an excitation beam, a wavelength conversion device, and a light-splitting unit on a transmission path of the excitation beam and between the excitation light source module and the wavelength conversion device is provided. The light-splitting unit includes a transparent substrate and a first optical film with a hole through which the excitation beam is transmitted to the wavelength conversion device. A wavelength conversion area and a diffusion area of the wavelength conversion device cut into the transmission path by turns. The wavelength conversion area converts the excitation beam into a conversion beam transmitted to the light-splitting unit. The diffusion area reflects the excitation beam to the light-splitting unit; the first optical film reflects the excitation beam coming from the diffusion area. Wavelengths of the conversion beam and excitation beam are different. A projection apparatus is also provided.

Illumination system having light-splitting unit and projection apparatus

An illumination system including a first laser light source, a diffusion sheet and a light integration rod is provided. The first laser light source is configured to generate a first laser beam. The diffusion sheet is located on a transmission path of the first laser beam. The light integration rod has a light entering surface and a light exiting surface. The diffusion sheet is located between the first laser light source and the light integration rod. The first laser beam from the diffusion sheet enters the light integration rod through the light entering surface and exits the light integration rod through the light exiting surface. The light integration rod is adapted to convert the first laser beam to an illumination beam. The area of the light entering surface is larger than the area of the light exiting surface. A projection apparatus is also provided.

A projector includes a light source module, an optical engine, a light valve and a projecting lens. The light source module includes light sources, optical fibers and a light integration rod. Each of the light sources provides an illumination sub-beam. Each of the illumination sub-beams transmits to the light integration rod through the corresponding optical fiber, and passes through the light integration rod and emits out to form a first illumination beam. The optical engine includes a phosphor wheel located at a transmission path of the first illumination beam and converting the first illumination beam into a second illumination beam. The light valve is located at a transmission path of the second illumination beam and converts the second illumination beam into an image beam. The projecting lens is located at a transmission path of the image beam and projects the image beam out of the projector.
