A crucible heating apparatus includes a crucible, a metal barrel around the crucible, a heating wire wound between the metal barrel and the crucible, a measuring unit for measuring the position of the liquid level of a material in the crucible and a controller, and the apparatus is characterized in that the heating wire includes at least two subsections arranged along the longitudinal direction, and the controller controls the heating power of each subsection respectively, thus dividing the crucible into at least two corresponding temperature control zones. In such a manner, by disposing a plurality of subsections of the heating wire and the corresponding temperature control zones of the crucible, the temperature of each position of the crucible is accurately controlled. A crucible heating method is also provided.

Crucible heating apparatus and method

The present invention relates a technique of liquid crystal display, especially to an alignment film applied to a substrate of a liquid crystal display. The alignment film includes a plurality of alignment molecules formed by polymerizing monomers having at least a photosensitive group, and has formula e as wherein the component A and/or the component B in formula e comprise(s) terphenyl. The present invention further provides a method of fabricating the alignment film and a liquid crystal display using the same. Due to the photosensitive group of the monomers, the plurality of alignment molecules can be formed with an appropriated rate, and the alignment film formed thereby has homogeneity. Therefore, the optic quality and overall performance of the liquid crystal display are enhanced.

The present invention relates a technique of liquid crystal display, especially to an alignment film applied to a substrate of a liquid crystal display. The alignment film includes a plurality of alignment molecules including polyamic acid and/or polyimide and a plurality of photo-sensitive molecules including terphenyl and/or substituted terphenyl, wherein a mass ratio of the plurality of alignment molecules to the plurality of photo-sensitive molecules is 3&#x2dc;7%:0.0002&#x2dc;2%. The present invention further provides a method of fabricating the alignment film and a liquid crystal display using the same. Due to the photosensitive group of the monomers, the plurality of alignment molecules can be formed with an appropriated rate, and the alignment film formed thereby has homogeneity. Therefore, the optic quality and overall performance of the liquid crystal display are enhanced.

A liquid crystal display (LCD) panel, a color filter (CF) and a manufacturing method thereof are disclosed in the present disclosure. The CF comprises a transparent substrate, a black matrix, first CF units, second CF units and a conductive layer. The transparent substrate comprises an active area and a dummy area. The first CF units in the active area have a trapezoidal cross section, and the second CF units in the dummy area have an inverted trapezoidal cross section. The conductive layer covers the active area continuously but covers the dummy area discontinuously; and thus, the active area can perform normal electrical conduction functions while an insulating effect can be achieved in the dummy area. In this way, even if conductive particles are present in the dummy area during the assembling process of the CF and a TFT, the discontinuous conductive layer in the dummy area can still prevent occurrence of abnormal conditions that the CF and the TFT are at the same voltage level. Thereby, abnormal short-circuits occurring when the CF and the TFT are assembled together can be prevented to improve the product quality.

Liquid crystal display panel, color filter and manufacturing method thereof

The present invention discloses a manufacturing method of an Optically Compensated Bend (OCB) liquid crystal panel, which comprises: an arranging step Sfor alternately arranging a plurality of thin-film transistor (TFT) substrates and a plurality of color filter (CF) substrates, the TFT substrates and the CF substrates are coated with optical alignment material; a light irradiating step Sfor using an ultraviolet (UV) light source to irradiate the TFT substrates and the CF substrates so that alignment films of predetermined alignment directions are formed by the optical alignment material on the TFT substrates and the CF substrates; and an attaching step Sfor attaching each of the TFT substrates and an adjacent one of the CF substrates in such a way that an alignment direction of the TFT substrate is the same as that of the corresponding CF substrate and filling an OCB liquid crystal layer therebetween to form a plurality of OCB liquid crystal panels. For the OCB liquid crystal panel of the present invention, the TFT substrates and the CF substrates are optically aligned in a contactless way, the efficiency of each irradiation is high, which is favorable for mass production.

The present invention discloses a panel transferring apparatus. The panel transferring apparatus includes a panel supporting mechanism for supporting a panel. The panel supporting mechanism includes a plurality of primary supports spaced apart from each other; and a plurality of secondary supports disposed on the primary supports and extending lateral to the primary supports. The primary supports and the secondary supports cooperate to support the panel. The present invention further discloses a panel supporting mechanism. A contact area between the panel supporting mechanism and the panel is increased by disposing the plurality of secondary supports on the plurality of primary supports. Thereby, flexure of the panel is lessened, the production cost is lowered and the production cycle is shortened.
