Example embodiments of the invention provide at least a method and apparatus to perform communications between an entity in a cell and a neighboring cell of a cluster of cells of a communication network a request signal indicating a desire to change from a first common radio frame configuration with the neighboring cell to a second different common radio frame configuration; and in response to the request signal, receiving at least one feedback signal from the neighboring cell to perform one of: implementing the change at the cell from the first common radio frame configuration to the second common radio frame configuration when the at least one feedback signal indicates acceptance of the change, and implementing the change at the cell from the first common radio frame configuration to a different individual local radio frame configuration when the at least one feedback signal indicates rejection of the change.

Enabling exchange of information on radio frame configuration in neighbor cells

A method includes detecting (), in a first communications apparatus, the number of failed code blocks in a transport block transmitted to the first apparatus from a second apparatus and a corresponding feedback size indicator. The feedback size indicator is received in the first apparatus from the second apparatus e.g. via control channel signalling. Alternatively, the feedback size indicator is received in the transport block. The first apparatus selects the format of a HARQ feedback message to be generated based on the feedback size indicator, and generates the feedback message based on the number of failed code blocks in the transport block. The generated feedback message is of the selected format and indicates the failed code blocks in the transport block. The first apparatus transmits the generated feed back message to the second apparatus.

Enhanced feedback signalling

For each base station of K base stations of a cellular communications network a maximum number of wanted data streams per carrier is decided that is to be scheduled to a terminal accessing the cellular communications network. The terminal has Nreceive antennas and K is an integer equal to or greater than two. Information regarding the decision is signaled to at least one of the K base stations.
