Heat activated detergents, fuels including such detergents and methods of use

Provided are octane enhancing additives and methods that improve a liquid fuel composition's octane rating. A liquid fuel composition may comprise a liquid fuel and an octane enhancing additive. The octane enhancing additive may comprise an indoline compound with a bicyclic ring structure, wherein the indoline compound comprises a six-membered aromatic ring and a five-membered aliphatic ring that share a carbon-carbon aromatic bond. The five-membered aliphatic ring may be heterocyclic and may comprise a nitrogen positioned in an alpha position to the six-membered aromatic ring.

Motor gasoline with improved octane and method of use

Diesel boiling-range fuel blends including renewable diesel, biodiesel, and petrodiesel, where the diesel boiling-range fuel blend is capable of producing a minimal volume change of at least one swellable elastomer in a diesel boiling-range fuel system are provided herein. Methods of making the diesel boiling-range fuel blend as well as methods of reducing swellable elastomer shrinkage are also provided herein.

Diesel boiling-range fuel blend and methods of making the same

Fuel compositions for advanced combustion engines that include a naphtha boiling range portion are provided, where the fuel compositions can have a reduced ignition delay and/or an improved derived cetane number. The improved combustion properties can be achieved by adding a portion of a light naphtha (boiling range) composition to a heavy naphtha boiling range composition. The addition of up to about 10 vol % of a light naphtha composition to a heavy naphtha composition can result in a mixture having a reduced ignition delay relative to the heavy naphtha composition.

Naphthene-containing distillate stream compositions and uses thereof

It has been discovered that jet fuel containing enhanced thermal stability additives and water can be delivered with a final water content of 15 ppm or less via existing jet fuel distribution system by controlling the fuel flow rate through the fuel delivery system comprising one or more filter coalescers and separator systems, said controlled fuel flow rate being determined by passing a sample of actual fuel through a sample of the fuel filter at various fuel flow rates to identify the flowrate at which the fuel effluent contains 15 ppm or less.
