A modular fixture includes a plurality of acoustic panels and at least one support structure, where the acoustic panels have at least one cut-out that is configured to partially receive a portion of the at least one support structure, which is inserted into the at least one cut-out. The plurality of acoustic panels engage the at least one support structure and are supported by it. The at least one cut-out can be of a variety of shapes, including dovetail, rectangular and cylindrical, and the each of the plurality of acoustic panels may be of differing shape profiles.

Modular fixture with integrated acoustic sound absorbing housing

A modular fixture may include an LED light board and an LED driver positioned along a linear support structure, and includes at least two acoustic panels. The fixture further includes two-piece fasteners, some of which are positioned along the linear support structure, while others are positioned on an inward-facing surface of the acoustic panels. The two-piece fasteners are then able to removably secure the acoustic panels to the linear support structure.

A modular acoustic baffle fixture comprising a plurality of acoustic sound absorbing panels forming at least part of the structure of the fixture in which the acoustic sound absorbing panels are mechanically and releasably affixed to an internal support structure and which absorbs sound directed to the void formed therewithin. An LED panel and LED driver may be provided and retained by an internal support structure to project light from the fixture.

A connection system accommodates small aperture fixtures and provides ample room for electrical connections and a cosmetically superior seam. The connection system may consist of two mating brackets for the concealed joining of segments of light fixtures. The joiner design is completely integral to a fixture, with no externally visible hardware and no additional visual seams. Due to the sweeping nature of the joining action, internal fixture components do not need to be removed in order for correct joining to occur. Additionally this design requires that no components are removed from the fixture prior to joining, significantly reducing the time and effort that goes into joining fixtures in runs.

A connection system for a luminaire that includes a cover having a base wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, and a plurality of guides; and a connector having a top surface, a bottom surface, a first side wall, a second side wall, a plurality of guides, where the plurality of guides of the cover engage the plurality of guides of the connector. The cover may be slidably engaged onto the connector and the cover may be secured to the connector using a securing member.

A concealed connection system for a luminaire that includes an inner joining member having a top surface, a bottom surface, a front surface, a rear surface, a first side surface having a first guide surface, and a second side surface having a second guide surface. An outer joining member having a top surface, a bottom surface, a base surface, a front surface, a rear surface, a first side surface, a second side surface, a first interior side surface opposite the first side surface having a first guide surface, and a second interior side surface opposite the second side surface having a second guide surface. The inner joining member may be slidably engaged along the guide surfaces onto the outer joining member, and the inner joining member may be secured to the outer joining member using a securing member.

Aspects of this invention relate to a system that provides an illuminated feature for an LED luminaire that can be used with opposite linear runs of LEDs to light the edges or sides of a luminaire without requiring additional LEDs. The system may include a light guide assembly located along an end housing of a light fixture, the light guide assembly including a light guide with a light guide end located proximate to one or more captured LEDs from a first plurality of LEDs located along a first side housing of the light fixture, and another light guide end located proximate to one or more captured LEDs from a second plurality of LEDs located along a second side housing of the light fixture, wherein the light guide receives the light from the one or more captured LEDs from the first plurality of LEDs and the one or more captured LEDs from the second plurality of LEDs and projects the light through the light guide, wherein when covered by a lens, the light emitted from the light guide is equivalent in appearance to the light emitted from the first plurality of LEDs and the second plurality of LEDs.
