Apparatuses, systems, and methods for performing authorization revocation for unmanned aerial vehicles. A cellular network element of a cellular network may receive a request to revoke authorization of a wireless device that is an element in an unmanned aerial system. The cellular network element may provide an indication to the wireless device to disconnect from any other elements of the unmanned aerial system based at least in part on the request to revoke authorization.

Systems and methods provide steering of roaming (SoR) information during a user equipment (UE) mobility registration process. Alternatively, the AMF may preemptively capture one or more units of network slice quota for the UE prior to initiation of the AAA procedure. The AMF may start a timer after UE deregistration is initiated, and not relinquish the quota unit held by the UE until after the timer's expiration. The network may also include a session management function (SMF) that provides UE identification as well as PDU Session ID when requesting registration of a UE.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for SoR list management and PLMN selection based on an SoR list. A UE may receive an SoR container which may include a list of OPLMNs. The UE may store a prior list of OPLMNs stored on a USIM of the UE on a memory of the UE. The UE replace the prior list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM with the list of OPLMNs included in the SoR container. The UE may consider the prior list of OPLMNs as a lower priority list as compared to the list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM. Additionally, in response to determining to move from a current PLMN, the UE may scan for a new PLMN based on the list of OPLMNs stored on the USIM.

Steering of roaming PLMN list update and management

A user equipment (UE) or other device performs service discovery of edge computing resources in a cellular network system and dynamic offloading of UE application tasks to discovered edge computing resources. As part of the discovery process, the device (e.g., the UE) may request edge server site capability information. When performing dynamic offloading, the UE may obtain (collect and/or receive) information regarding channel conditions, cellular network parameters or application requirements and dynamically determine whether a task of the application executing on the UE should be offloaded to an edge server or executed locally on the UE. In making decisions between offloaded or local execution, the UE may use a utility function that takes into account factors such as relative differences in application latency, energy consumption and offloading cost.

Under at least some circumstances, the UE may use a non-cellular (e.g., non-3GPP) access to transmit updated capability information to a cellular network. Elements of the core of the cellular network may provide an identifier corresponding to the updated capability information to the UE for use in future registrations with the cellular network. Further, the core network may provide the updated capability information to a cellular radio access network associated the cellular network. Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform methods for EPS fallback when initiating a voice call while camped on a 5G cell. The UE may camp on a 5G network by performing an IMS registration procedure/IMS SIP invite procedure with an IMS. The UE may initiate a voice call and determine that the voice call cannot be established over the 5G NR network. In response, the UE may perform a TAU procedure or an attachment procedure with a cell of a 4G network. The IMS may be transferred to the 4G network during TAU/attachment procedure. The UE may, in response to determining that it is barred from the 4G network, transition back to the 5G network and transmit, to the 5G NR network, a SIP cancel request to allow a context associated with the UE to be cleared from the IMS.

5G NR voice call EPS fallback enhancements

Several techniques using a network slice quota (NSQ) management function provide dynamic adjustment in order to meet the limitation of data rate per network slice in the uplink and downlink wireless connections in a wireless network. In one technique, when the limit is reached, the session aggregated maximum bit rates (AMBR) per subscription level is adjusted in proportionate ratio of the maximum bit rate per subscription level per user equipment (UE). In another technique, when the limit is reached, there is a proportionate equivalent increment and decrement of session AMBR based on usage patterns of the subscription levels. In a further technique, when the limit is reached, there is a proportionate equivalent increment and decrement of slice resources based on usage patterns. In yet another technique, a quota update is attempted using the Unified Data Repository (UDR).

Apparatus and method for dynamic data rate adjustment for a wireless slice

Techniques discussed herein facilitate configuration of network slices for a User Equipment (UE) supporting constraints on simultaneous operation of slices. Such a technique may comprise: receiving a registration request message to request registration on a set of requested network slices; registering the UE to a set of allowed network slices; and generating a registration accept message for transmission indicating the UE is registered to the set of allowed network slices, wherein the registration accept message indicates slice compatibility information for each allowed network slice of the set of allowed network slices for the UE, wherein the slice compatibility information for each allowed network slice indicates whether or not other configured network slices of a set of configured network slices are compatible with the configured network slice for simultaneous operation by the UE.

This may include receiving information indicating that a cell of a network supports a network slice. The UE may identify that the UE is located within the coverage area of the cell and determine whether measurement data corresponding to the cell satisfies predetermined criteria. when the measurement data satisfies the criteria, the UE may camp on the cell.
