In a feedthrough device and method of assembly thereof, a body has longitudinally spaced first and second end faces and an inner surface defining a longitudinally extending opening. A conductor extends within the opening and an insulator extends within the opening transversely intermediate the conductor and the inner surface of the body to insulate the conductor from the body. The body has at least one indentation formed longitudinally into at least one of the first and second end faces, with a portion of the inner surface of the body being displaced transversely against the insulator in correspondence with the at least one longitudinal indentation to crimp the insulator and conductor within the opening of the body and maintain a hermetic seal across the feedthrough device.

Feedthrough device

A differential pressure transducer determines pressure differentials between respiratory airflows and ambient airflows. Another determines pressure differentials between respiratory airflows and interface airflows. And another determines pressure differentials between i) respiratory airflows received from a subject and ii) interface airflows received from an area near a cannula. Corresponding respiratory monitoring methods also determine the same.

Respiratory monitoring with differential pressure transducer

A sound dampening apparatus to be disposed in pneumatic connection with a respiratory support system. The respiratory support system may comprise a source of medical gas, a plurality of pneumatic connections and a patient interface. The sound dampening apparatus comprises an inlet, an outlet, and an outer case which forms a sound dampening chamber. As the medical gas flows through the sound dampening apparatus, the noise energy associated with the flow of medical gas is reduced.

Apparatus and system for reducing mechanical ventilator noise

A breath condensate sampler for use with a mechanical ventilator, the breath condensate sampler includes an airflow valve, a condensate formation tube, a condensate trap, and a condensate collection receptacle. The airflow valve directs air from the expiratory limb into the condensate formation tube wherein the condensate portion of exhaled gases are separated from the gaseous portion of the exhaled gases. A method of collecting a breath condensate sample is also herein disclosed.
