Electrical motor

The present invention concerns a method of thermal management of a transmission of an axle () of an electrical vehicle and a circuit used for the method. The circuit comprises a coolant pump (), one or more on-board units, a three way valve () and the axle (), which axle () comprises a transmission. Coolant of a cooling system of the vehicle is made to pass the on-board units to pick up heat losses. The on-board units may be power electronics (), an electrical machine (), a battery and/or an on-board charger.

Thermal management for electrical drive systems

A torque vectoring device for a vehicle is provided, comprising an electrical motor () being connected to a differential mechanism () via a first planetary gear set () and a second planetary gear set (), said planetary gear sets () sharing a common ring wheel (), wherein the first planetary gear set () is connecting the electrical motor () to a cage () of the differential (), and the second planetary gear set () is connecting the electrical motor () to an output shaft (), and wherein the rotational axis (R) of the first planetary gear set () and the second planetary gear set () is arranged remote from the output shaft ().

Torque vectoring device

A vehicle driveline system for a vehicle is provided. The system comprises a differential having a differential housing connectable to an engine via a pinion, and two output shafts being connectable with respective wheel axles, and an electrical motor being selectively connected to the differential housing. The differential housing extends into a hollow shaft having a radial protrusion provided with engagement means, such as splines, for connecting with a shifting sleeve, wherein said shifting sleeve is configured to be actuated for connecting the electrical motor to said differential housing.

Vehicle driveline system

A vehicle driveline system for a vehicle is provided. The system comprises a differential () having two output shafts () being connectable with respective wheel shafts, a primary electrical motor () being connected with a driving input () of the differential () via a first reduction gearing (), said first reduction gearing () being connected to a secondary electrical motor () for adjusting the gear ratio of the first reduction gearing (); whereby the secondary electrical motor () is connected to a clutch arrangement () configured to selectively lock the gear ratio of the first reduction gearing ().

Electrical axle

A hydraulic system including a hydraulically actuated clutch, a hydraulically actuated shifting piston, and a pressure source for actuating the clutch as well as the shifting piston. The movement of the shifting piston also controls a valve function which serves to open a connection from the pressure source to the clutch only when the shifting piston has reached one of its end positions.

A device for torque vectoring in a wheeled vehicle is presented. The device includes a differential mechanism arranged on an axle having a first drive shaft and a second drive shaft, an electrical power source connected to an electrical motor, the electrical motor being connectable to the axle for torque vectoring between the first drive shaft and the second drive shaft, and control means connected to the power source and configured to receive a plurality of variables representing the current vehicle state and to determine drive currents being dependent on the variables, wherein the drive currents are supplied to the electrical motor from the power source for introducing a torque increase to either one of the first or second drive shafts and a corresponding torque decrease to the other one of the first or second drive shafts.

Torque vectoring device with planetary gear set for connection to balancing shaft

A torque vectoring device (-) for two half-axles of a vehicle drive axle, provided with a conventional differential (-), through which drive torque is supplied from a propulsion motor, is connected on one hand to one of the half-axles (), on the other hand to the cage () of the differential (-). An electric motor () of the torque vectoring device is connected via a differential transmission in the form of a planetary gearing () to said one of the half-axles () and the cage (). The arrangement is such that the electric motor stands still, when the rotational speed of the half-axle () and the cage () is the same.
