The present invention relates to a method for the cleaning and/or anti-corrosion pretreatment of a plurality of components in series, in which the components of the series are at least partially composed of zinc-coated (ZM) steel. After a cleaning stage and before further cleaning and/or anti-corrosion pretreatment, the components pass through a treatment stage for improving the wettability of the zinc-coated (ZM) steel surfaces in which at least the surfaces of the zinc-coated (ZM) steel of the components are brought into contact with an aqueous medium which contains at least one builder which is a salt of a Lewis acid-base pair in which the Lewis acid is selected from Li, Na, K, Ca, Mgor Al, and the Lewis base is selected from anions of a polyprotic Brønsted acid.

Method for the cleaning and/or anti-corrosion pretreatment of a plurality of components comprising zinc-coated (ZM) steel

The present invention relates to an aqueous dispersion as a concentrate for the activation stage of phosphating of metal surfaces, containing a dispersed particulate constituent and a thickener, the particulate constituent containing, in addition to dispersed inorganic compounds of polyvalent metal cations, polymeric organic compounds as dispersing agents which are composed at least partially of styrene and/or an α-olefin having no more than 5 carbon atoms and maleic acid, its anhydride and/or its imide, and which additionally comprise polyoxyalkylene units. The aqueous dispersion is further characterized by a D50 value above 10 μm. The present invention also relates to a method for anti-corrosion pretreatment of the surfaces of a metal material, in particular for zinc phosphating.
