Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a telecommunication enclosure having a configuration that can be readily customized in the factory to satisfy customer specifications and can also be readily upgraded in the field. In certain examples, the telecommunication enclosure includes a main housing defining a plurality access ports. A plurality of different add-on components can selectively be coupled to the main housing at the access ports in sealed relation to the main housing. The add-on components can include visual indicators which are visible from outside the main housing when the add-on components are mounted to the main housing.

Fiber optic enclosure with ability to customize and/or upgrade

An optical fiber distribution system including a rack and elements which populate the rack including fiber terminations. Each element includes a chassis and a movable tray. The movable tray includes a synchronized movement device for moving a cable radius limiter. The tray includes cable terminations which extend in a line generally parallel to a direction of movement of the movable tray. Each of the cable terminations are mounted on hinged frame members positioned on each tray. The cables entering and exiting the movable tray follow a generally S-shaped pathway.

Optical fiber distribution system

The present disclosure relates to an optical splice package for splicing together first and second optical fibers or first and second sets of optical fibers. The optical fibers have elastic bending characteristics. The splice package includes a splice housing including a mechanical alignment feature for co-axially aligning ends of the first and second optical fibers or sets of optical fibers within the splice housing. The splice housing contains adhesive for securing the ends of the first and second optical fibers or sets of optical fibers within the splice housing. The optical package has a weight less than a spring force corresponding to the elastic bending characteristics of the first and second optical fibers or sets of optical fibers.

Light weight fiber optic splice and fiber management system

A cabinet includes a first compartment coupled to a second compartment with a sealed cable port arrangement separating the two compartments. The second compartment is more robustly sealed than the first compartment. A sealed splice enclosure is disposed in the first compartment. The splice enclosure is more robustly sealed against water intrusion than the second compartment.

Disclosed herein are cable sealing devices having features for enhancing effective sealing, volume compensation, seal pressurization, cable size range-taking, cable installation and insert installation. Also disclosed herein is an enclosure including at least one cable sealing device.

Fiber optic cable sealing device

A communication enclosure includes a housing and a fiber optic organizer. The housing defines a plurality of ports. The fiber optic organizer includes a tower configured to hold one or more fiber management trays. The tower is mountable to the housing in one of at least two different tower positions. In the first tower position, the tower is disposed between a first of the ports and a second of the ports. In the second tower position, the tower is disposed between the second port and a third of the ports.

Cable sealing unit with multiple configurations

A mounting bracket may reserve an installation site for a network component at a specific geographic location. The mounting bracket may bear indicia by which the mounting bracket can be associated (e.g., electronically) with the geographic location for tracking and/or reporting purposes. The indicia may be removable from the mounting bracket. The indicia may block the network component from being installed at the mounting bracket prior to removal of the indicia.

Managing network installation

A cable sealing device including an attaching part securable to the cable; a fixation part adapted to be mountable on the attaching part; and a sealing part. The attaching part includes outer locking faces. The fixation part has inner abutment faces adapted to co-operate with the outer locking faces to axially and rotationally lock the fixation part relative to the attaching part. The sealing part includes an inner seal and an outer seal. The sealing part also includes a second securing arrangement that is configured to engage a first securing arrangement of the fixation part to axially and rotationally lock the sealing part to the fixation part.

Cable sealing device, cable termination and attaching device

A composite cable seal includes a frame material and a sealing material. The frame material can be configured to control positioning of the sealing material, and to prevent the sealing material from being over-compressed. The sealing material can be configured to provide effective sealing at a cable port and to provide effective sealing with respect to the enclosure (e.g., at a triple point of the enclosure).

An optical fiber distribution element () includes a chassis (), an optical device () mounted to the chassis (), the optical device () including a plurality of cables () extending from the optical device () into the chassis (), and a cable management device () mounted to the chassis (). The cable management device () includes a plurality of radius limiters in the form of spools () in a stacked arrangement for managing the cables () extending from the optical device () for further connection within the chassis (), wherein a first of the spools () defines a spool wall () having a different wall length than that of a second of the spools (), wherein a first of the plurality of cables () is routed around the first of the spools () and a second of the plurality of cables () is routed around the second of the spools () that has a different spool wall length than that of the first of the spools ().

Telecommunications distribution elements

One aspect of the present disclosure relates to an enclosure system including enclosures of different sizes, shapes and styles that are all compatible with gel sealing modules having a given module form factor or a multiple of the given module form factor. In this way, gel sealing modules having one form factor and/or multiples thereof can be universally used across an entire product line of enclosures.

Cable sealing unit with cable sealing modules

A sealed structure (e.g., sealing module, sealing projection, etc.) transitions the direction of one or more cables passing through the structure. Sealant (e.g., a gel block) is disposed within the structure to seal one or more cables extending along a transition path within the sealed structure. Ducts and/or cables may be anchored to the sealed structure. The sealed structure may be mechanically secured to a closure at a selected rotational orientation.

A fiber optic telecommunications device () includes a first fiber optic connection location () defined on the telecommunications device (), wherein a plurality of optical fibers () extends into the telecommunications device () from the first fiber optic connection location (). A plurality of second fiber optic connection locations () are movably disposed on the telecommunications device (). A flexible substrate () is positioned between the first fiber optic connection location () and the plurality of second fiber optic connection locations (), the flexible substrate () rigidly supporting the plurality of optical fibers () and relaying the plurality of fibers () from the first fiber optic connection location () to each of the second fiber optic connection locations ().
